Black Friday isn't actually until November 24, but if you're a savvy shopper then you're most likely aware of the huge brands who have already cut prices on some of their most popular products to try and tempt us from our cash early. One of the first to launch was kitchen gadget company Ninja, who wowed shoppers not just with discounts of up to £100 but also a limited edition range of exclusive copper-coloured products.
The biggest discount came on the Ninja Speedi combination air fryer, which our Mirror reviewer gave five out of five stars to, calling it a 'game-changer for midweek meals' particularly for families and people short on time. The Speedi has been reduced by £100 for Black Friday and is available in limited edition copper for £149.
But for fans of the brand, one of the biggest stirs of this week was the announcement that Ninja's long-awaited competitor to the Ooni is finally on sale in the UK - several weeks ahead of when shoppers were expecting it and for £50 less than they previously announced. Ninja announced its Woodfire Outdoor Oven was available to buy on their website yesterday (November 14), ahead of the December 1 launch date it had previously promoted and for £349 rather than the £399 they said it would be when they announced it to much fanfare in September.
The Woodfire Outdoor Oven joins the Woodfire Electric BBQ as the second Ninja product aimed at foodies keen to cook outside of the home. It is likely to be of particular interest to home chefs tempted to buy a pricey pizza oven but not sure if it's worth the investment as, with a launch price of £349 it comes in at less than half the price of Ooni's equivalent indoor/outdoor electric pizza oven and is packed with additional features.
The Woodfire Outdoor Oven has all the functionality of an outdoor pizza oven, producing top quality artisan pizzas within two and a half minutes, as well as acting as a high-heat roaster and BBQ smoker. Powered by electricity, the oven also uses the wood pellet smoking technology that fans of the Woodfire Electric BBQ praise for easily adding smoked flavour to meals with minimal fuss and mess.
The Woodfire Outdoor Oven has eight different functions, including Pizza, Max Roast, Gourmet Roast, Top Heat, Bake, Smoker, Dehydrate and Keep Warm, and can reach temperatures of up to 370°C, all in a compact form that could be as easily used on a balcony or patio as well as larger gardens.
It comes with accessories including a heating tray, pizza stone, roast rack and accessory frame as well as smoke pellets and a pellet scoop included in its £349 launch price. A more expensive £529 bundle includes a stand and cover that will help protect it from the elements year round.
Ooni remains the industry leader for outdoor pizza ovens, with wood or charcoal versions starting from £299 for the Ooni Maru up to £699 for premium options although with this launch Ninja is clearly hoping to tempt its long-standing fans into buying a pizza oven with them.
But Ninja and Ooni aren't the only pizza oven options available this Black Friday. Mirror Choice also recently reviewed the new Gozney Dome S1 and while its Black Friday deal doesn't reduce the price tag below £1,299, it does throw in a host of extras perfect for anyone hoping to take their garden kitchen to the next level. Meanwhile, the Gozney's smaller but still well-reviewed pizza oven, the Roccbox, has been reduced by 20% for Black Friday, taking it down to £319.20 including delivery.
Meanwhile, Witt's Etna Fermo award-winning pizza oven has been reduced by 31%, taking it down to £399 on Amazon in a range of colours. Witt also sells a wide range of accessories for pizza oven devotees, ranging from pizza peels (the shovel-like items you transfer pizzas into a hot oven on) to heat-proof gloves to reduce the risk of burning when you take them out.
