Police have launched an appeal after a man and woman "tried to grab" an 11-year-old girl as she walked to school.
Greater Manchester Police were called Silver Street in Irlam, Greater Manchester, close to the junction of Cutnook Lane, at around 8.30am this morning following reports that the pair were seen driving in the area in separate vehicles before they exited their cars and tried to grab hold of the schoolgirl.
The girl, who was able to flee the scene, then ran to tell an adult about what had happened, and they alerted local police. Investigators have since released the details of the male, whom they have said is white, around five foot nine inches tall, and with short, dark hair.
