This week's EuroMillions jackpot will make one lucky winner richer than Ant and Dec.
A staggering £113million is all to play for in Tuesday's draw. The figure could propel one Brit to the upper echelons of the country's wealth, ranking higher than the likes of other UK household names - including Britain's Got Talent judges Amanda Holden (worth an estimated £9.6m), Alesha Dixon (£6.4m) and Bruno Tonioli (worth an estimated £7.2m). However, the lucky ticket-holder wouldn't be as wealthy as BGT head judge Simon Cowell, who is reportedly worth an eye-popping £482m.
But with presenters Ant and Dec having an estimated wealth of £62million each, the huge jackpot means this week's winner will also be richer than one half of Britain's most recognisable TV presenting duo. The lucky Brit would also enter National Lottery Hall of Fame, becoming the institution's 12th biggest winner of all time and the 19th to land a windfall over the £100million mark. Like other lottery games, EuroMillions costs £2.50 to play, and players must pick five numbers and two lucky stars.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “Tuesday’s fabulous jackpot could be one to remember if an incredibly lucky UK ticket-holder scoops the entire sum. My first piece of advice to our winners is to breathe and take it all in - you didn’t have the money yesterday so there is no need to rush.
“You’ve just won mega amounts of money, allow yourself some time to get used to that fact. People hope and dream that they will win, and sometimes even talk about what they will do when they win but these ideas often change once it actually happens, especially when it's an amount this big. My team and I have our fingers crossed for all UK players and are on standby to support all our big winners as they start their life-changing journey. Make sure you grab your ticket early to be in with a chance of winning!”
In June last year, one anonymous winner claimed the £111.7million jackpot, while on New year's Day in 2019, Frances and Patrick Connolly scooped an eye-watering £114,969,775 - but the selfless couple have since given away handed over more than half to worthy causes. Already this year Richard and Debbie Nuttall landed eight figures, winning £61million on the EuroMillions. Players are urged to get their EuroMillions tickets before 7.30pm on Tuesday to be in with a chance of winning the life-changing prize.
