Meghan Markle used to love sharing photos of her private life on social media, posting Instagram-friendly snaps of her home, meals and days out with her millions of loyal fans.

But understandably since she became the Duchess of Sussex she's changed all this, and like the rest of the Royal Family she keeps her private life private.

And now one of her friends has given royal fans a peek inside her life behind closed doors at Kensington Palace - and it looks lovely.

Daniel Martin, who did Meghan's wedding make-up, visited the Duke and Duchess' home to spend some time with the mum-to-be on his way back from a Dior show in Paris.

He shared a photo of a delicious brunch she made them, nicknaming her the "avocado toast whisperer".

The snap is a rare insight into Meghan's life behind closed doors at her home with Prince Harry.

It shows a wooden table with a grey table runner or napkin and a stoneware teapot with matching cup designed by super-fashionable Soho Farmhouse.

Meghan reportedly had a spa-themed hen-do at the plush Soho retreat before her wedding to Prince Harry in May last year.

The teapot, part of the brand's Country Home collection, costs £25, Hello! magazine reported.

Matching cups and saucers cost £12 each.

The food is served on silver platters and there is also a pot of Fortnum & Mason chocolate truffles on the table.

New York-based Daniel shared the photo with his 113,000 followers on Sunday morning with the caption: "Back to our Tig days.

"Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!️ #foodie #foodiegram."

"Tig" refers to former Suits star Meghan's now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig.

Daniel, who has worked with a number of A-list stars, perfected Meghan's look when she and Harry tied the knot at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in front of a TV audience of millions.

Days after the wedding, he posted a TV screen grab of Harry lifting Meghan's veil, writing: "My dearest Meghan, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of such a memorable day, not only in your life, but in history.

"It was just like old times playing dress up and I’m looking forward to our next play dates together.

"Cheers to love my friend!!!"

Of the wedding day preparation, he told the US programme Good Morning America last year: "We had breakfast. Guy, her dog, was with us.

"We were playing around with him. It was a very chill morning.

"Her mum [Doria Ragland] was there, which was amazing."

In December, he posted a photo of a smiling Meghan cradling her baby bump.

He wrote: "I’m gonna be a #guncle."

Daniel, a brand ambassador for Dior, has a roster of celebrity clients including Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Alba, Olivia Palermo, Priyanka Chopra and Jessica Biel.

Meghan, meanwhile, is due to give birth to her and Harry's first child in April, as they prepare to move out of their cottage on the rounds of Kensington Palace in west London.

The couple are moving to Frogmore Cottage , on the grounds of the Queen's windsor estate, Frogmore House, before welcoming their baby in just a few months.
