A gang of feral youths have been filmed battering a teen outside a McDonald's restaurant before turning on a Good Samaritan who intervened to help.

Horrific footage shared online shows a group of seven youngsters punching a boy outside the fast food restaurant on Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow on Tuesday night. The victim was knocked to the ground before the prowling gang set about landing punches.

In the clip, one of the youngsters can be seen kicking the victim's head while another hits him with a bottle. The footage also shows a group of girls reportedly watching on and laughing.

At one point, a Good Samaritan wearing grey shorts and a blue hoodie can be seen running across the street to help the injured boy, before the group then turns on him. The man appears to be struck with a bottle of Buckfast by the gang, as glass can be heard smashing, the Daily Record reports.

The incident seen in the video is understood to have taken place between 7pm and 8pm. One eyewitness said: "I was in the McDonald's and I heard the two lads beside me talking about a fight they were just in (that one in the vid) 10 minutes ago."

Another posted: "The lassy carrying the bottle like it's a fruit shoot". And a third added: "Glad to hear that 'mon then' is still going strong!" Police Scotland said the force had received no reports about the incident. The Scottish Ambulance Service was approached for comment.
