Social media star Slim Albaher has advised AnEsonGib's team to bring a 'nice pillow' as the YouTuber-turned-boxer vows to knock his bitter rival out.
Slim will be looking to extend his undefeated record to 8-0 when he takes on his long-time rival in the squared-circle next week in Qatar. With five of his seven wins coming by way of knockout, the 30-year-old put his name on the map after knocking out Salt Papi last year in his last outing.
As for Gib, 'Seven Figure Gibber' - who made his debut against Max Plays FIFA back in 2018 - comes into the mouthwatering showdown off the back of a decision victory against Jarvis back in July 2023. Both Gib and Slim have been destined to face off for several years now. With just days to go until the blockbuster dust-up, both men are in the final stages of their respective training camps as they aim to put on a jaw-dropping display in Doha.
Over the last few months, the two stars have traded barbs on social media. Things also got a little heated between the pair during the launch press conference last month. Following their face-off, Slim insists his upcoming opponent os petrified ahead of next week's meeting.
In an exclusive chat with Mirror Fighting, he said: “I know he’s scared. Trust me man, I read body languages, he’s terrified. He never wanted to fight me. I know he’s working extremely hard. I rate his work ethic, he’s got great work ethic, but it’s going to take a lot more than work ethic to beat me. So, Gib, I hope you’re ready man and I hope your corner brings a nice pillow for him because he’s going to hit the canvas and it’s going to be very bad."
With regards to a prediction, the confident American didn't hold back and insists he will put Gib to sleep on November 28. "Everybody says ‘oh, I’m going to knock him out.’ I’m dead serious, I’m putting this kid to sleep. I don’t see this fight going no other way besides me knocking him the f*** out or his team throwing in the towel.
"It’s going to be brutal. If he doesn’t get knocked out early, it’s going to be a brutal beat down. I’m going to break his face. There’s going to be blood everywhere type s***. I think he’s very chilly, I think I’m going to knock him out and I really don’t think this fight is going the distance. If I was a betting man, I would put my whole house on me knocking him out.”
