Jon NURSE struck in the dying seconds to earn Dagenham a share of the spoils when it had looked as though they were set to go home with nothing.

The Addicks thought they had snatched the points when Johnnie Jackson converted Therry Racon’s cross.

However, in the second minute of injury time, Nurse rose highest to head home Damian Scannell’s delivery.

Charlton took an early lead when Miguel Angel Llera nodded home.

The Daggers hit back with an equaliser on the stroke of half-time when, after Therry Racon brought down Bas Savage in the area, Danny Green made no mistake from the spot.

Charlton boss Phil Parkinson confronted ref Jon Moss about the penalty decision and was promptly sent to the stands. He said: “The ref got Dagenham back in it with a decision nobody else in the ground could understand.

“He deserves to take a bit of flak for that, but equally we went away from playing the football we did in the first half, which at times I thought was top class. I asked the ref for an explanation and it got a bit heated.”
