Jo Kuffour and Chris Lines scored each side of the interval to leave Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore fuming at his players.
Kuffour(above) opened the scoring after 41 minutes, turning in Craig Disley's cross before Lines finished from a surging run.
Tranmere didn't force Pirates' keeper Steve Phillips to make one save and Moore stormed: "I gave the players a half-time rocket but it made no difference. We looked tired and gave the ball away throughout. This performance is a concern."
