Crawley scored three goals in the first half as they cruised to victory over Rushden with Jamie Cook claiming a hat-trick.

Jon-Paul Pittman opened the scoring before Cook grabbed three for the hosts, before Tom Shaw scored a late consolation for the visitors.

Pittman put the home side in front, Cook grabbed the second when he converted Mustapha Carayol's cross from six yards and then headed home a third from Pittman's cross.

Cook put the result beyond doubt when he fired home a low shot from close range after good work from Pittman just after the hour mark.

Shaw then headed home Marcus Kelly's inswinging corner.
