The agent of Manchester United winger Antony claims there have been "multiple approaches" for the Brazilian's signature.
Antony, 24, became United's second most expensive signing of all time when he arrived from Ajax for £86million in the summer of 2022. After a bright start which saw him score on his debut against Arsenal, the right-winger has endured a largely torrid spell at Old Trafford.
This year, he has not managed to score a goal in the Premier League or the Europa League, with his only goal of the campaign coming from the penalty spot in the 7-0 demolition of League One side Barnsley in the League Cup. He has spent the majority of the campaign on the bench and is yet to start a Premier League match.
With further changes expected to come under Ruben Amorim, Antony is expected to be one of the first to be shipped out. That time could come as soon as the January transfer window, his agent acknowledges.
In an interview with Give Me Sport, Antony's agent, Junior Pedroso, said: "Yes, many clubs have approached us for Antony’s move in January. These clubs wanted to understand the situation for Antony, so I can confirm that there’s concrete interest."
Antony arrived in Erik ten Hag's first transfer window and was believed to be one of the main players the Dutchman wanted. As a result of his enormous price-tag, Antony was often seen as being one of the main symbols of Ten Hag's quick collapse at United, after a promising campaign which saw them finish third and win the League Cup.
However, Pedroso still believes there may be a future for Antony at Old Trafford. He said: "To be fair, Manchester United have never expressed any interest to sell or loan out Antony to us.
"We never received this sort of communication so far. Man United management never told us that they want Antony to leave, despite the reports we see around about our client."
He added: "I can say that Antony’s future is very much tied to Manchester United's interests. If the club thinks it would be a good idea to loan Antony out in January so he can get more minutes and regain his trust, we will work together on that option.
"Otherwise, Antony is working hard to regain his place and show his best skills under the new coach Ruben Amorim.”
Amorim's arrival immediately pushed Antony further down the pecking order, as the Portuguese boss' 3-4-3 automatically means there is, at least, one less space for an attacker.
Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Amad Diallo and Joshua Zirkzee are usually battling amongst themselves for the inside forward position, while Rasmus Hojlund has been the first-choice centre-forward.
Antony's last Premier League goal came in the 1-1 draw at home to Burnley back in April. His last goal before that was in April 2023, when United beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 at the City Ground.
