Wolves expect an approach from Roma for Portuguese international keeper Rui Patricio with new boss Bruno Lage expected to sanction the move.
Premier League Wanderers are ready to cash in on Patricio for around £10million as the shot-stopper is a free agent next year.
Patricio, 33, exited the Euros with Portugal at the weekend and Jose Mourinho’s Serie A side are now expected to make a formal offer for his services.
The ace has been the first-choice at Molineux since joining from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2018 for £15million.
He has made 127 appearances but Roma are stepping up their interest after Portugal's loss to Belgium.
Wolves are ready to shake up their squad this summer after Nuno Espirito Santo's exit and are prepared to sanction key player sales to raise cash.
Other men who could be on the move include Spain international Adama Traore and Ruben Neves.
Nuno's successor Bruno Lage wants Olympiakos keeper Jose Sa to replace Patricio.
Lage is in the UK but is currently in quarantine with a view to starting work at Wolves' Compton HQ on Monday.
A move to Molineux marks a return to English football after Lage spent time as Carlos Carvalhal’s assistant at Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea.
He won the Portuguese title with Benfica in 2019 – also claiming manager of the year – before departing in 2020 after failing to defend their crown, finishing second behind Porto.
Nuno left Wolves last month having taken them from the Sky Bet Championship to the Europa League quarter-finals.
Upon taking charge at Molineux, Lage said: "I'm very happy. It's a big opportunity. I'm very happy because I've returned to this country, and to be the manager of a big team.
"I want to create a good dynamic with all the departments of the club. I have tried to link all together to start to build up the new cycle.
"It's a good opportunity to understand what Nuno [Espirito Santo] did in these four years and my ambition is to continue and to improve what he did."
