Peter GULACSI has been backed to recover from his Charlton clanger by Les Parry.
The Tranmere boss launched a staunch defence of the on-loan Liverpool goalkeeper after he spilled a sixth-minute free-kick by Johnnie Jackson to present Scott Wagstaff with an easy opener.
Enoch Showunmi hauled the sides level when an Aaron Cresswell corner was blocked by Therry Racon to save Gulacsi’s blushes – and Parry is convinced the 20-year-old Hungarian will learn from his first-half blunder.
“It was just a bit of a blip for our keeper and he soon got into the swing of things,” he said.
Parry added: “We deserved to win but you don’t always get what you deserve in football. The way the players battled was magnificent after an unfortunate early blunder.”
Addicks boss Phil Parkinson, whose side beat Notts County last weekend, said: “They ruffled us at times, but when we got the ball down and played we looked a good side. Four points from six is a good return and a boost for us.”
