After a flurry of Premier League deals at the end of June, things have slowed down somewhat as Euro 2024 reaches its conclusion.
Once the tournament ends, business is expected to pick up, with Manchester United one of the sides tipped to be busy. Erik ten Hag's side are close to landing one of their targets with Joshua ZIrkzee set for a medical, while his compatriot Matthijs de Ligt could follow.
Arsenal have completed a permanent deal for David Raya, but his fellow goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale could be on the move. The England keeper has hinted he is not willing to be a back-up again next season, while the Gunners are pushing hard to sign Ricardo Califiori.
Chelsea landed one of the biggest deals of the summer so far by spending £30m to sign midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall from Leicester City, and former Foxes boss Enzo Maresca is expected to pursue more players in his first summer at Stamford Bridge.

Zirkzee excited for future
Zirkzee said: "Having had discussions with the manager and the leaders of the club I know how exciting the future is going to be here and I cannot wait to play my part in achieving success for Manchester United.
"I am a player who has always dedicated everything to winning; I'm ready for this next challenge, to go to another level in my career and win more trophies.
"It is a privilege to join such an iconic club. I have to take a short break now after being with the national team, but I'll be coming back ready to make an impact straight away."
Zirkzee deal confirmed
Done and dusted, Joshua Zirkzee is a Manchester United player.
Sporting director Dan Asworth said: "Securing a forward to enhance our already strong group of attacking players was a key aim for this summer. We are delighted that we’ve managed to sign a player of Joshua’s calibre this early in the transfer window.
“Joshua is an outstanding talent who is ready to make an impact for Manchester United. His ability and desire to grow into a world-class player means that he will be a great addition to the squad that we are building for the exciting season ahead and beyond."

Liverpool priority
Liverpool's transfer agenda appears to have a defender as priority with Sporting CP ace Goncalo Inacio of interest. Caught Offside suggest the Reds are making progress to land the defender who has a £50m release clause.
Southgate's future
Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes Gareth Southgate should not end his time with England following Euro 2024.
He told Sky Sports News: “I always feel that an international manager, if the players and his FA don’t want him to leave, then it always feels strange leaving after a Euros. It feels to me that the World Cup is the one you leave after.
“If we’d gone out to Switzerland (in the quarter-finals) he would probably have walked away because there would have been a lot of criticism and the scrutiny that goes with the job, which he has done for a long time.
“But I feel if he comes out of this feeling good – which he should do now whatever happens tonight – I think it would be right to finish it at the World Cup in America."
Kambwala completes medical
Manchester United defender Willy Kambwala has completed his medical with Villarreal ahead of his move. It is said that United will earn £8.6m in addition to the inclusion of buy-back and sell-on clauses for the 19-year-old Frenchman who has entered the final year of his contract.
Juventus determined
Despite showdown talks with Manchester United that have seen Jadon Sancho return to training with the Red Devils, Juventus remain determined to land the former Borussia Dortmund winger, per Mail on Sunday.

Arsenal defender in Italy
Nuno Tavares has arrived in Italy ahead of completing a move to Lazio. The defender has arrived at the Serie A side's training camp with a £4.3m transfer edging closer.
The Gunners are said to have a sell-on clause in the deal.
Olmo interest
Dani Olmo has captured the interest of Manchester City according to reports in Italy. The Spaniard has enjoyed an impressive Euro 2024 and has a £51.6m release clause in his RB Leipzig contract. There is reported to be interest from the Premier League with Gianluca Di Marzio suggesting the Premier League champions are most enthusiastic.
Man United eye Toney
Bild believe that Manchester United will target Ivan Toney, even with the transfer of Joshua Zirkzee. It is said that Toney's agent has informed Brentford of the striker's interest in the move. England international Toney has 12 months remaining on his contract.
Chambers finds new club
After departing from Aston Villa, Calum Chambers has already found a new club for next season. The defender joins Championship side Cardiff City.
“I’m absolutely delighted, and I can’t wait to get started," Chambers said. “I think after speaking to the Club, it felt like they were very ambitious in where they were heading. It seemed like a really good project to be a part of, and I didn’t really want to miss out. I’m at a stage in my career where I want to be ambitious and create memories for myself as well. It was a good time for us both to meet at this point.
Arsenal agree deal
The Gunners are reported to have agreed a deal with Ajax to sign Tommy Setford. A fee of £860,000 appears to have been enough to persuade the Dutch side to part ways with with the England youth international, whose older brother also plays for Ajax.
Liverpool eye Madrid raid
Liverpool are eyeing a move for Real Madrid star Andriy Lunin as they search for a new back-up to Alisson. Lunin spent much of last season as the Los Blancos number one, helping them to win La Liga and the Champions League.
But he only has one year remaining on his contract and is set to return to a back-up role with Thibaut Courtois now fit again. The Ukranian is now considering his future and is open to offers, according to Sport.
The Spanish newspaper claims tha Liverpool are now considering making a move for him. The Reds are searching for a replacement for Caoimhin Kelleher, who is expected to leave Anfield this summer, with Lunin having emerged as a potential option.
Rooney hails transfer target
Wayne Rooney has lauded Arsenal transfer target Nico Williams on the eve of the Euro 2024 final and compared the Spain sensation to Cristiano Ronaldo .
Williams, 22, has been one of the standout performers in Luis de la Fuente's impressive team, who will face England in the final on Sunday night in Berlin .
Both Williams and Lamine Yamal, 17, have caught the eye for Spain and the former, who is currently on the books of Athletic Bilbao, has already been touted as a transfer target for a number of top European clubs , including Arteta’s team.
Everton reach Dele Alli agreement
Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement which will see the London club surrender a previously agreed bonus for Dele Alli, it has been claimed.
Dele moved to the Merseyside club in January 2022 after seeing his Spurs opportunities limited. The midfielder joined on a free transfer, though there were a number of potential bonuses in the deal - including if the former England international signed a new deal at Goodison Park.
After being used sparingly by Frank Lampard, he was loaned to Besiktas for the 2022-23 season. Sean Dyche had replaced Frank Lampard in the Everton dugout by the time he returned, though injuries have meant the current boss hasn't been able to give Dele a single minute of football.
The 28-year-old's contract with Everton expired in June, but he has been receiving treatment for an injury with the club. According to The Mail, Everton have come to an agreement with Spurs which means they'll be able to offer him a fresh deal without triggering a 'significant' payment to the London side.
Zirkzee drops huge hint
Joshua Zirkzee has hinted his move to Manchester United is close to completion.
The attacker has emerged as the Red Devils' top target in the early stages of the summer transfer window. He starred as Bologna claimed a fifth-place finish in Serie A last season, which earned them qualification for the group stages of the Champions League.
Zirkzee scored 12 goals and notched seven assists in all competitions for the Italian side. He did enough to earn a call up for the Netherlands squad for Euro 2024, playing in the quarter-final against Turkey and the semi-final defeat to England.
His performances also caught the eye of United, who have made signing a new attacker their top priority. Boss Erik ten Hag personally spoke to the Dutchman and that call looks to have done enough to convince him to move to Old Trafford.
His arrival is expected to be officially announced in the coming days. But it appears that the 23-year-old has now all but confirmed his impending arrival via social media, by dropping some not-so-subtle hints.
Zirkzee has ‘liked’ two separate posts on the Instagram page of Fabrizio Romano, the second of which reads: ‘HERE WE GO! Man United agree to sign Joshua Zirkzee as first move for INEOS.’
Mane return rumours
Sadio Mane's agent Bjorn Bezemer has insisted the forward is happy in Saudi Arabia amid links with a sensational return to Red Bull Salzburg.
Mane joined Saudi club Al-Nassr in the summer of 2023, scoring 13 times in the Saudi Pro League as his club qualified for next season's AFC Champions League Elite. The 32-year-old is under contract until 2026, but that hasn't stopped him being linked with an exit.
Reports in Austria suggested he might return to Red Bull Salzburg. Mane left the Austrian club in 2014, but the appointment of Pep Lijnders as manager has sparked rumours thanks to the pair's history together at Liverpool.
According to Bezemer, though, there's nothing to the speculation. Al-Nassr will begin their 2024-25 Saudi Pro League campaign in August, and Mane is expected to be there for it.
“I did not have any meeting with clubs regarding Sadio,” Bezemer told Fabrizio Romano. “He is preparing the season with Al Nassr and has absolutely no intention to leave. His club is extremely happy with him."
Kvaratskhelia's agent makes U-turn
The agent of Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia says his client could sign a new contract with the Serie A outfit - despite recently talking up a blockbuster summer transfer.
Kvaratskhelia, 23, has long been linked with some of Europe's top clubs including several from the Premier League and his stock has only risen after impressing for Georgia during their historic run to the Round of 16 at Euro 2024.
Numerous clubs have been credited with an interest in Kvaratskhelia this summer including the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, although the player still has three years to run on his current contract.
But it now seems as though Kvaratskhelia could stay put with his agent, Mamuka Jugeli, outlining that the winger may yet sign a new deal if Napoli show they are serious about challenging for the Italian title.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Jugeli has said: “Kvaratskhelia without the Champions League? Then he wants to win the Scudetto. For the future everything depends on the president of Napoli. If he thinks of selling Kvara, he will do. If he wants the renewal, he will renew.”

Como chasing Martial as well as Varane
Como are looking at completing a double Manchester United swoop, reports Mirror Football's Ryan Taylor.
Talks are ongoing with Raphael Varane after the defender's Old Trafford exit, and the Frenchman's former club and international team-mate Anthony Martial could follow.
Varane has been speaking directly with Como coach Cesc Fabregas over a move to the Italian side, who won promotion to Serie A last season.
Chambers' message after Villa exit
Calum Chambers has thanked Aston Villa after leaving the club in search of first team football.
The former Arsenal defender moved to Villa Park in January 2022, but managed just 36 appearances in claret and blue.
"I would like to thank everyone at Aston Villa Football Club for the last few years! I wish the club all the best for the future!" he wrote on social media.
Oxlade-Chamberlain eyeing Premier League return
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's stint in Turkey could end up being a brief one.
The England international midfielder left Liverpool for Besiktas last summer, but - as Mirror Football's Ryan Taylor reports - he has been left out of the club's pre-season training camp
Reports in the Turkish media suggest former club Southampton are among the interested partied. Oxlade-Chamberlain began his career at St Mary's, playing 43 times for his boyhood club before moving to Arsenal in 2011.
DONE DEAL: Besiktas sign Immobile
Italy international striker Ciro Immobile has joined Besiktas, ending an eight year spell with Lazio.
The 34-year-old, who scored more than 200 times with the Italian club, has signed a two-year contract.
"I'm very happy to be here and ready to start the new season. I was very touched by the reactions of the fans here," the striker told club media.
Liverpool sent Gordon warning
Liverpool signing Anthony Gordon would agitate the forwards who are already a part of Arne Slot's squad, according to Reds icon John Barnes.
Were Gordon to arrive, the likes of Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota or even Cody Gakpo could see their game time decrease dramatically and could cause disruption in the dressing room - the last thing new boss Slot needs during his first season in charge.
Barnes spoke to mybettingsites.co.uk, saying: “Gordon will be a good signing but you can't just keep signing players because you've got to keep them happy and if no one's going to leave why would we keep signing players. If Liverpool were to make signings I think with Arne Slot, Eze would probably be a better signing.
“Gordon under Klopp would have probably been a better signing because he's much more dynamic in terms of going forward than Eze. Whereas Eze is much better on the ball, coming short, getting the ball. You know, he's more technical than Gordon.
"Anthony Gordon yes he would be great but I don't think that we're necessarily looking for players in those positions unless players leave. So yeah, if you can get a good young English player. Yeah. Why not?”
Merino latest
Real Sociedad are expecting Arsenal target Mikel Merino to move on this summer, it has been claimed.
The Gunners are in the market for midfield reinforcements before the new season and a move for Merino, 28, fits the bill. The playmaker boasts a wealth of experience and is said to be available for just €25million (£21m).
And in a boost for the Gunners, Spanish outlet El Diario Vasco outline that Sociedad believe Merino will leave in the transfer window after failing to respond to a new contract offer.
DONE DEAL: Man City confirm Delap exit
Manchester City striker Lian Delap has made a permanent move to Ipswich Town.
The 21-year-old, who scored eight times for Hull City in the Championship last season, will reportedly cost the Tractor Boys up to £20m.
He joins summer signings Ben Johnson and Jacob Greaves at Portman Road, while former loanee Omari Hutchinson has now joined the club permanently.
Barcelona risk losing Martinez for nothing
Inigo Martinez could leave Barcelona for free if the club don't trigger an extension by Monday.
That's according to Diario Sport (via Football Espana), with recognition that Barca will be without Ronald Araujo for some time after his injury at Copa America.
Martinez made 20 appearances in La Liga last season, 13 as a starter, during an injury-interrupted campaign.
Mind games
Spain star Marc Cucurella says he has the tools to blunt Bukayo Saka in Sunday night’s Euro 2024 final, while claiming that England’s best player has barely featured at the tournament.
Full back Cucurella has been a key player on the left side of La Roja’s defence and may face his sternest test yet against Arsenal forward Saka, who he has plenty of admiration for.
But the Chelsea defender says he is not even studying too much video footage because he already knows how to make Saka uncomfortable in a game when he confidently thinks will be defined by how Spain perform.
“I know how Saka plays. I don’t really need to watch a lot of footage as I normally watch all the Arsenal games. It is so tough to mark him, but those challenges are nice for me. Playing against rivals of such quality is nice, I’m sure we both can’t wait for it,” Cucurella told The Athletic.
Maguire wants to stay
Harry Maguire wants to stay and fight for his future at Manchester United, it has been claimed.
The England defender, 31, was seemingly on his way out of Old Trafford last year after being stripped of the club captaincy by Erik ten Hag following a string of poor performances during the 2022/23 campaign.
After impressing Ten Hag with his attitude last term, Maguire eventually forced his way back into the Dutchman's team - and The Daily Star have now revealed that the former Leicester man has no plans to seek a move this summer.
Ex-Liverpool pair heading to northern Italy
Pepe Reina and Alberto Moreno are due to sign for Como following their promotion to Serie A.
The Italian outfit have just appointed Cesc Fabregas as their coach and the ex-Arsenal and Barcelona star has looked to bring in some experienced names who have enjoyed successful careers. Reina and Moreno both played at Liverpool previously and are poised to follow Raphael Varane to Como.
Slow market
Mikel Arteta believes the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) are behind the slow start to the summer transfer window.
Like plenty of other Premier League clubs, Arsenal have not made a signing since the transfer window opened last month, although the club do have plans to strengthen in a number of areas ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
Arteta is thought to be seeking reinforcements in midfield and a wide forward, while they continue to be linked with Riccardo Calafiori after the Bologna defender caught the eye for Italy during Euro 2024.
But he thinks the financial rules are hitting home for many clubs.
Eriksen exit
Manchester United will listen to offers Christian Eriksen in the transfer window after the midfielder expressed frustrations over his role last year.
The Denmark international, 32, fell down the pecking order last term following the emergence of Kobbie Mainoo and is now inside the final year of his contract at Old Trafford.
Napoli want Lukaku
According to Sky Sports, Napoli are interested in signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
New Napoli boss Antonio Conte is keen on a reunion with Lukaku, who he previously managed at Inter Milan, and Chelsea value the Belgian international at around £35m. The report notes, however, that Napoli's interest in Lukaku 'could depend on Victor Osimhen's future'.
Olmo drops transfer hint
Dani Olmo has issued a 'come and get me plea' to Premier League clubs with his £50million release clause set to expire next week.
The Red Bull Leipzig star has been one of Spain's most influential performers at Euro 2024 and is in the running for the Golden Boot. He's been linked with a host of top clubs including several from England - and he's made it clear that he wants a move.
“Clause until July 20? Yes, if clubs want me, they know what they can do. There’s time until July 20 for the clause otherwise later it’d be tough negotiations! I’m under contract at Leipzig and I want to win titles," he told El Larguero.
Kepa set for Chelsea exit
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could be set for a move to Saudi Arabia.
According to the Athletic, Arrizabalaga is in talks with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad following a loan spell at Real Madrid where he made just one start.
Onana set for Villa move
Aston Villa have completed the £50m capture of Amadou Onana from Everton.
The Belgian international comes in as a replacement for Douglas Luiz who left the club for Juventus. Onana has spent two seasons at Goodison Park after signing from Lille in a deal reported to be worth £33m with add-ons.
The purchase is a major statement of intent from Villa boss Unai Emery who is determined to build a squad that can compete on both domestic and European fronts. Onana is a rangy, tough-tackling midfielder who will add extra impetus to Villa’s engine-room.
At 22 years old, he already has several years’ of experience high-level football under his belt and he has agreed a long-term deal with Villa. Villa owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have managed to skirt around any financial fair play issues before the end of June.
And they are now exercising their own muscle in the market with Emery being given considerable resources to ensure that Villa, now they have qualified for the Champions League, try to stay there.
Casemiro sale needed to fund deal
Reports suggest that United can only look to sign PSG central midfielder Manuel Ugarte, if they are able to sell Casemiro first. The position has been deemed a priority for the club this summer.
Ugarte is said to be open to a move, despite no Champions League football on offer but United have seen a £38m bid turned down. They hope to pay no more than £45m.
The club started the window with a budget of £50m, so with moves for Zirkzee and De Ligt on the horizon, players must also depart. Al-Ittihad are said to be in talks for Casemiro with United keen to see the back of the Brazilian's £350,000-per-week wages.
Williams tipped to replace Salah
Nico Williams has been linked with a host of clubs after starring for Spain at Euro 2024 and former Premier League midfielder Gaizka Mendieta believes Liverpool should make a move for the forward.
"Nico Williams has the talent to replace Mohamed Salah at Liverpool," Mendieta told OLBG. "Although he's very young, he's dealt with a lot of pressure already, not only in Athletic Bilbao but also with the Spain national team.
"He’s incredible 1v1. He can play on both wings, although on the left, I think he gives more to the team. He could play for Liverpool, the way they use wingers. Luckily for Athletic Bilbao, players from Bilbao love to play for this club and they play in Europe next year, so if someone wants to sign him they need to be prepared to pay."
Man Utd in advanced talks over sale
Villarreal are in advanced talks to sign Manchester United defender Willy Kambwala for a fee in the region of £8.5million.
The former France youth international has made 10 appearances for United's first-team since joining the club from Sochaux back in 2020. Kambwala's Old Trafford deal is due to run until the summer of 2025 and while United looked into extending his stay, the 19-year-old is understood to have rebuffed an offer to extend his contract.
Now Spanish outfit Villarreal look ready to pounce and the two clubs continue discussions over a transfer which could also include a sell-on clause for United.
Balotelli set for return
Former Manchester City and Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is in talks over a move to Corinthians.
Balotelli is currently a free agent after leaving Adana Demispor, but Corinthians' academy director Claudinei Alves has confirmed they are in talks over a move for the 33-year-old. Corinthians are prepared to offer him a two-year contract," Alves said, as per ESPN.
"The [Corinthians] president [Augusto Melo] is the one who is leading talks. He wants three millions euros per year and a two-year contract. Balotelli's intention is to return to play for the Italian national team."
Man Utd learn Ndoye asking price
Manchester United could have a difficult time persuading Bologna to part with another one of their stars after landing Zirkzee, but it may not prove impossible. A fee of £30m could prove enough to land Dan Ndoye
Manuel Minguzzi, editor at Tuttobologna, told the Manchester Evening News: "After Calafiori and Zirkzee, I don't think Bologna will give up a third starter. The management would not want to give him up and Ndoye is liked by new coach Vincenzo Italiano. In any case we are talking about £25-30m."
Ndoye's agent Fahd Adamson has admitted a move could be on the cards. "It is good that Manchester United are interested in Dan, and it is somehow logical as well," he said.
"United belong to INEOS, and Dan has already played for the other INEOS-owned clubs in Nice and Lausanne. He received countless WhatsApp messages from English clubs after the quarter-final against England. Let's see what emerges from them.
"We must discuss Dan's future with him and his family. We need to weigh things up well, to prevent him making the wrong career move."
Williams update
Athletic Bilbao president Jon Uriarte insists that his club are able to prevent Nico Williams from leaving this summer. Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with signing the 21-year-old Spain international, who's been a starter for La Roja throughout Euro 2024.
Responding to transfer speculation, Bilbao chief Uriarte is quoted as saying: "We have a top project with no limits and we're able to keep top players like Nico Williams at the club. There are too many questions always asked to Nico on his future as Federation has not been able to protect him. We ask for respect."
