It is officially over - for a few months at least. The transfer window is shut and clubs must make do with what they've got but details are still coming out.

Two former England internationals were the big movers late in the day. Jadon Sancho eventually secured a loan switch to Chelsea with his playing time set to be limited at Manchester United - with Erik ten Hag leaving him out of both matches thus far.

Raheem Sterling opted to leave Stamford Bridge with the door seemingly shut on his Chelsea career after Enzo Maresca snubbed him. He's headed on loan to Arsenal and will aid their Premier League bid going forward - choosing to turn down huge sums in Saudi Arabia in the process.

Ivan Toney opted to wave goodbye to the English top flight as he joined Saudi Arabia - who were also looking to bring in Napoli's Victor Osimhen, but the Nigerian could now be left in the lurch with Antonio Conte turning his back on the striker in Italy.

Elsewhere Aaron Ramsdale secured himself a move to Southampton, banking Arsenal £25million in the process. Scott McTominay has also joined Napoili as he waves goodbye to his boyhood club - who finally announced the signing of Manuel Ugarte from PSG.

We'll mop up all the transfer latest and reaction.

Osimhen left out of Napoli squad

Victor Osimhen has been excluded from Antonio Conte's Napoli squad after missing out on a deadline day move to Saudi Arabia, with his move to Al Ahli collapsing.

The Nigerian has been heavily linked with an exit from the club all summer, with Chelsea tipped to secure the in-demand forward, before a Saudi switch appeared the most likely outcome.

However, Sky Sports have now reported that Osimhen will be left out of the squad until at least January after failing to get his move, as Conte looks to settle his side for the season ahead and attempt to win Serie A.

Another late deal for Liverpool

Liverpool have got another signing over the line after deadline day, but fans won't be too over the moon as the player in question will go straight into the club's academy.

The Reds have announced 16-year-old Alvin Ayman has joined the Merseyside club from Wolves, with the club paying a £2million compensation fee.

Arsenal departure

Omar Rekik's Arsenal contract was terminated by mutual agreement yesterday, per Fabrizio Romano. Rekik is now available to be picked up as a free agent.

Fyle confirm rejected bid

"The club can confirm that prior to last night's deadline for EFL Clubs to complete their Summer Transfer business, the Coasters rejected a significant six-figure bid for Taelor O'Kane."

Speaking on the bid for the 19-year-old, Director of Football Alex Hughes said: “We are pleased to see clubs in higher divisions taking note of our club’s successes.

“Taelor has undoubted potential, and we believe he will soon be a regular member of the first team and has a great future ahead of him.

“He remains central to our future plans and the decision to reject the bid by the Chairman was made without hesitation.”

Chelsea plan another exit

David Datro Fofana failed to secure a move away from the club as late moves to Hoffenheim and Sunderland both collapsed. The striker, who spent the latter half of last season with Burnley, could still make a move with Turkey, Greece, Portugal, Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands among markets being explored, per reports.

Ivan Toney statement

Ivan Toney has released a statement on Instagram after completing his move to Al-Ahli from Brentford.

“Where do I even begin," he said. "It’s hard to find the right words to express what Brentford FC means to me. From the moment I first stepped onto the pitch wearing the shirt, I knew I was part of something special.

"My first and most important shout out is to “The Bees” simply the best and most incredible fans in the world. Together, we’ve shared unforgettable moments - highs, lows, challenges, and triumphs that will stay with me forever. The love and support you’ve shown me through thick and thin is something I will remember for the rest of my life. I would like to say a special thank you to my gaffer, Thomas Frank!

You trusted me and helped make me the player I am today, I can only hope I repaid back your faith a little bit. Brentford FC, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together, and I’ll always carry the memories I’ve made here.

Gaining promotion to the Premier League and earning my first England call up during my time here were special moments. I will also never forget my comeback game and the atmosphere of that night at the Community Stadium, that day emphasised how special this club is. As I prepare to begin this new journey, I want to thank each and every one of you for your unconditional support.

"To my teammates, the manager, the backroom staff, the owners, and again, a special mention to The Bees - thank you. There’s no need for onion chopping, because as I always say - see you soon, it’s never a goodbye. Ivan."

Ancelotti pleased Real Madrid ace remained

The Italian was pleased to keep former Arsenal loanee Dani Ceballos among his ranks after the closure of the transfer window.

"He (Ceballos) has stayed, we are happy and excited, even if he hasn't had the minutes he wanted," Ancelotti said.

"We are happy that he has stayed with us and he will be very useful for the team."

Haller loan

Former Premier League forward Sebastien Haller has joined La Liga side Leganes from Borussia Dortmund. The Spanish team are newly-promoted and captured the 30-year-old in a shock move.

The former West Ham United and Ajax striker will spend the full 2024-25 campaign in Leganes.

Christian Eriksen latest

The Denmark international could still make a move with other transfer windows still open this weekend. Reports in Belgium suggest Anderlecht could make a move for the former Spurs star and have held talks with club and player.nul

Amrabat completes move

Former Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat has moved on loan from Fiorentina to Fenerbahce to join up with ex-United boss Jose Mourinho. The Morocco international once again moves on loan with the Turkish side holding an option to make the move permanent.

Ex-Arsenal man criticised Sterling loan

Petit - a Premier League with with Arsenal in 1998 - is unsure why the Gunners opted to bring in Sterling, even on loan, suggesting he has been on the decline in recent years.

He told Safest Casino Sites: "Since Sterling left Liverpool, he hasn't improved a whole lot at Manchester City and Chelsea. Sterling can have big moments but there is no consistency in his performances. He still needs to improve his final ball and needs to score more, this is the main problem.

“This is something that Mikel Arteta will not want in his team, he wants young and hungry players, Sterling won't improve more than another young winger."

Turner to the Eagles

The goalkeeper was bought to the Premier League by Arsenal and has now landed a third club after a spell at Nottingham Forest.

Crystal Palace, who have just sold Sam Johnstone, have opted to bring him in.

Leeds extend Gnonto

The Whites managed to fend off interest in their Italian winger with Everton among his suitors.

Gnonto has now opted to pen a new lengthy deal to keep him at Elland Road.

Sterling rejected huge Saudi offer

Raheem Sterling rejected a stunning £650,000-a-week offer from Saudi Arabia to join Arsenal on loan from Chelsea.

The incredible package for the England winger, 29, would have more than doubled his current £300,000-a-week salary. But Sterling held out for a move to Arsenal and placed helping the Gunners to become champions over cash. He also retains his own, long-term ambitions to make it back into the Three Lions fold for the 2026 World Cup.

Another Chelsea exit as Palace confirm Chalobah

The defender had been among those training away from the first-team.

Chalobah has now secured himself a loan move to Selhurst Park, where he will spend the season.

Another late deadline day mover - Edouard to Leicester

The striker has been at Crystal Palace for several years, but struggled to make an impact.

He was previously a huge success north of the border at Celtic, proving to be prolific and the Foxes will hope he can rediscover that form.

Osimhen in a difficult spot

Victor Osimhen finds himself in limbo as he waits to see whether a move to Saudi Arabia can save him from the cold in Napoli.

The Nigerian had been among the most sought after strikers in Europe following several prolific years in Italy, but his fortunes have turned on their head in recent months. The arrival of Antonio Conte at Napoli has changed the dial with the new manager bringing in Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea.

The Belgian is now set to command the No 9 role in Naples with Osimhen snubbed in the early weeks of the season. Chelsea had been linked with a move for the striker but walked away from negotiations with the English transfer window now closed.

There are just days to run on the Saudi market with Al-Ahli thought to be keen on Osimhen - whose only route out on Napoli now appears to be in the Middle East. However Al-Ahli have just completed a £40million swoop for Ivan Toney and may now call time on their recruitment.

Broja heads to Everton

He was linked with a number of clubs but it is Everton who have landed the Chelsea striker, who will make his switch to Goodison Park a permanent one next summer.

Broja did previously impress during a loan spell at Southampton and the Toffees will hope to unlock his potential.

Toney completes £40 Saudi switch

Ivan Toney has completed his move to Al-Ahli for £40million after a summer-long search for a new club.

The former Brentford frontman was winding down his contract and the Bees were resgiend to his sale with several Premier League outfits linked with the England international. Despite admiring glances from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United no bids came forward.

It opened the door for the Saudi Pro League side to pounce and they secured his services after Toney had undergone a medical in London. The striker will now earn huge annual sums in the Middle East as he called time on his spell in west London.

Slot reflects on Reds activity

Chiesa is through the door and will bolster the forward line at Anfield whilst goalkeeper Mamardashvili has been loaned back to Valencia - which Slot insists is all part of the plan.

He said: "Chiesa can help us for the short-term and Mamardashvili is an example of what this club did very well in the past of looking (after) the long-term future. And that is why we signed him."

The Gunners bolstering their ranks

Sterling the other big mover - heading to Arsenal

Raheem Sterling last night completed a sensational loan move to Arsenal after a dramatic transfer merry-go-round.

Chelsea outcast Sterling, 29, found an 11th-hour escape route with Arsenal as Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson were also on the move.

Sancho agreed a move from Manchester United to Chelsea on a season-long loan move while Nelson agreed terms with Fulham. That paved the way for Sterling to leave Chelsea and complete a season-long loan move to Arsenal.

Sterling had been told he has no further at Chelsea and was facing a season on the sidelines not being part of boss Enzo Marcesca’s plans.

Sancho heading to Chelsea - who will sign him next summer

Jadon Sancho has officially completed his deadline day loan move from Man Utd to Chelsea with the Blues also having the obligation to buy the winger next summer.

The England international had been tipped for an exit from Old Trafford for much of the summer after falling out of favour under Erik ten Hag last season and being sent on loan to Dortmund - three years after arriving at the club for £73million with big expectations.

Sancho's stock rose again after performing admirably with the Bundesliga side and now Chelsea have opted to bring him to Stamford Bridge, with the club reportedly having an obligation to purchase the winger for between £20million - £25m.
