The Chase star Anne Hegerty, 62, has admitted she and her fellow Chasers are "concerned" about Paul Sinha, known on the show as The Sinnerman.
The 50-year-old is battling Parkinson's after revealing his diagnosis in 2019, though he is currently appearing on Beat The Chasers with no apparent difference to his quizzing skills.
'The Governess' Anne was speaking on Loose Women about her close friendship with Mark 'The Beast' Labbett, who she speaks to regularly and is the godmother of his child.
"We do speak at least a couple of times a week, we are just good mates," she said.
"I am godmother to his kid, if one of us is upset about something, the other one will sort of check in and say, ‘Are you okay?’
"We’re very sort of mutually supportive but there is a sense in which all the Chasers are very mutually supportive.
"We are concerned about Paul’s health, for example, and making sure everyone is okay."
The Mirror has contacted a representative for Paul Sinha for comment.
Asked if she has a lot of attention from younger men, Anne said: "I seem to have quite a fan base among gay men, I don’t quite know what that proves.
"Most of my fans are older women and I think some of them are woman who are rather hoping that I am a lesbian and I have to let them down gently!"
"Right from my teens I was always into older men, to the concern of my mother.
"Everyone else my age went through a David Cassidy phase, I didn’t go through [that] phase, I went straight to the Lee Marvin phase….What can I say, my ideal man is Tommy Lee Jones.
Anne then added that if she was to get into a relationship, the man would be "not necessarily older, but he will have been around the block a little bit”".
Referring to Janet Street-Porter’s self-confessed crush on Harry Styles, she said: "I can see that Harry Styles is very pretty and so on but Janet I can assure you I am not a threat in that regard.
"He is cute but you can have him!" she laughed.
On whether her dream man would have to be into quizzing, she explained: "It would have to be someone who was into being intelligent, facts and reading books.
"It might not be a problem if he was not necessarily into quizzing, as long as he understood that I was into quizzing and every Tuesday night I was going to be quizzing with the Quiz League of London and on Wednesday night I was going to be quizzing with the Online Quiz League of London, and he was just going to have to suck that up because I was busy!”
Asked if she would ever let a partner win a game with her, she replied: "Never, literally I don’t even let children win!"
