Two pursuits initiated by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department ended in crashes on Wednesday, sending two innocent motorists to a hospital, authorities said.

One pursuit started after the Sheriff’s Department received a call about juveniles doing graffiti around 2:20 p.m. on a building at Beach Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue in Stanton, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sgt. Frank Gonzalez.

When deputies attempted to question the suspects at the scene, they got into a car drove away, Gonzalez said.

The vehicle crashed into two others, driven by innocent motorists, at Brookhurst Street and West Broadway in Anaheim. Both innocent drivers were hospitalized with minor injuries, Gonzalez said.

Four suspects, including three juveniles, were arrested after that pursuit.

An initial investigation found that the vehicle was stolen.

Another pursuit was initiated in San Juan Capistrano at around 2 p.m. after a driver committed a traffic violation, said Gonzalez. It’s not clear what the traffic violation was.

That pursuit continued into Aliso Viejo before the suspect’s vehicle crashed into another vehicle and then into a wall at Aliso Creek Road and Autumnglen.

One man was taken into custody after the crash, and another was taken into custody shortly after a short foot pursuit.

No information was immediately available about what charges the suspects were booked into jail on.
