Jose de Jesus Plascencia OBITUARY

Jose de Jesus (Chuy) Plascencia passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, after a courageous battle with throat cancer and respiratory deficiency.Originally from Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico, Jesus migrated to Santa Ana, CA where he was employed by Santa Ana Unified School District for 34 years until his retirement. Born to Jose V. Plascencia and Maria de Jesus Plascencia on Dec. 24, 1948, he was the 4th of 6 children (Carmelo, Roberto, Guadalupe, Ma Elena, and Martin). Jesus thoroughly loved traveling, Sunday brunches, outings at the beach, and people-watching.He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Simona (Madrid), children Gabriel and Rebecca (Humberto Marquez), grandchildren; Matthew, Scarlett, and Bella, brothers; Guadalupe, Martin and sister Ma Elena, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.In Jesus’ passing, his family mourns the loss of a special person. He will be missed by all.Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19th from 4pm to 8pm at Saddleback Chapel Mortuary, 220 E. Main St., Tustin, CA 92780.Funeral Mass Thursday, June 20 at 10am at Christ Our Savior Catholic Church, 2000 W. Alton Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92704.Burial to follow at Holy Specular Cemetery, 7845 Santiago Canyon Rd, Orange, CA 92869.
