Jeremy Vine had viewers in stitches while chatting to etiquette expert William Hanson. The Channel 5 host was live on TV discussing his left-handedness with William when he made the comical slip-up, as William tried to explain how quickly etiquette evolves. He began: "I think what people maybe don't understand - etiquette has to evolve. It would be ridiculous if it was just trying to get people to do really quite antiquated things. And of course you are left-handed, I noticed when you were doing your drawing."

Jeremy added: "I'm bi... bisexual, what does that mean?" A chuckling William responded: "I don't know if you're bisexual. Well, you could be bisexual. I don't know Jeremy. I think it's ambidextrous." Jeremy clarified: "But it's not, I can't use both hands for everything. I write left-handed but I would play table tennis right-handed."

William then corrected him: "Okay I think that might be bidextrous," and quipped: "It's quite boring actually. Well it's not the same as bisexual!"

Social media users were quick to revel in the humorous mistake, with one X user exclaiming: "I've said it before and I'll say it again... he's more Partridge than Partridge!" Another teased: "Freudian slip!" while another fan hailed: "Broadcasting gold!" A fourth fan simply said: "Oooops".

This isn't the first faux pas Jeremy has made. Last year, he accidentally mis gendered a transgender woman during a radio interview. Introducing Vivian from Southampton, the conversation took an awkward turn.

Vivian greeted with a cheerful: "Jeremy, nice to speak to you!" which led Jeremy to respond: "Gosh, whenever I say Vivian, I expect a woman, isn't that crazy? " To this, Vivian revealed: "Uh, I'm transgender, Jeremy."

Jeremy swiftly apologized: "Okay, forgive me. I wasn't meaning to go into that. Forgive me." Fortunately, Vivian graciously accepted the apology, saying: "No, no, that's absolutely fine."

More recently, Jeremy had to halt the show mid air to announce the pregnancy of Channel 5 star Storm Huntely, who is expecting another child with her husband Kerr Okan. She told Jeremey and 5 viewers the news during the show.

She shared: "It's happened again. I'm having another baby … So I am quite far along - 14 weeks. Normally you can say at 12 weeks, but I only had my scan yesterday; there it is [the scan appears on screen]."

She added: "So that is little baby number two on its way. And second babies don't mess about. I mean, they pop real quick. I have been showing like nobody's business to the point where eight weeks pregnant, my neighbour stopped me and said, is Otis [Storm's son] getting a little brother and a little sister.”

The couple and their two-year-old son Otis also shared an adorable snap on social media to tell their followers the update.
