Strictly Come Dancing star Karen Hauer has revealed to her followers that she made an appearance in the latest blockbuster movie, Wicked, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Karen, who has starred in Strictly since 2012, announced the news to fans last week along with snaps of her wearing green - and looking completely different.
Karen wrote: “Had a “Wicked” experience doing a tiny bit of dancing in this magnificent movie. @jasongilkison and I had an absolute blast !! Thanks to @chrislxd for letting us have a little go. We were like two toddlers in a candy shop Can’t wait to watch the movie tonight!”. Fans commented: “Wow this is amazing” another added: “Omg this is AMAZING!” and a third said: “You look gorg”.
It wasn’t just fans, Karen’s celebrity pals took the comments as well, Radio star Zoe Ball added: “oh my goodness [flame emoji] just seen it. POPULAAAR”. Ore Oduba added: “Oh wow!!! I love this!! On BOTH of ya” and Clara Amfo added: “One Short Day!!!”.
Karen showed off her very green look on Instagram alongside her friend, and Strictly choreographer Jason Gilkinson. One of the photos was of the pair of them skipping hand-in-hand on the Wicked set. For the movie, Karen’s short hair was transformed into curls and as for makeup, she was in the spirit of Elphaba with green eyeshadow.
In the following post, Karen could be seen beaming as she was dressed to the nines in hair and makeup for Wicked which she attended with Strictly co-star Luba Mushtuk.
In January of this year, Karen went Instagram official with her new boyfriend, Simon Davidson following her marriage split from ex-husband Jordan Wyn-Jones. The Strictly pro first sparked romance rumours with ex-rugby player Simon, 38, when they were spotted leaving the Strictly final in December together 2023. The pair were then reportedly seen exiting a Birmingham hotel, where Karen had been staying during the Strictly live tour.
A month later Simon confirmed his relationship with Karen as he shared a sweet snap of them together on Instagram to mark his 38th birthday on Monday, 29 January. The couple could be seen enjoying a picturesque walk as they posed on top of a hill together.
"Things can change in an instant. Try to live in the moment you never know what may happen #love #2024 #live #38," Simon captioned the snap. Karen commented a red heart emoji under the post and then reposted it to her Instagram Stories.
Just three days ago (Friday 22 November), Karen posted a snap of her boyfriend with the caption “One Year Of Us” followed by a love heart. The pictures that followed were of the pair of them on holiday, on the Strictly dancefloor.
