The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's self-titled docuseries Harry and Meghan was released on Netflix back in December 2022 and was the latest in a long-line of statements made by the couple following their departure from royal life. At the time, it was revealed that the streaming giant had struck an £80 million deal with the pair and that the public could soon expect more shows.

While other works include Live to Lead, a series released on New Year's Eve 2022, the Heart Of Invictus which released last year, and an adaption of Meet Me at the Lake, the couple's next programme will be released very soon and focus on the "fierce rivalries" and the "intense training" that those in the US Open Polo Championship go through.

The show, which is titled POLO, was first teased in April when it was announced that Harry and Meghan have two nonfiction series' in production with Netflix, with the other focusing on Meghan's love of "cooking, gardening and friendship".

With the release date just weeks away, a leading royal expert has said the couple could be in for a success, but that a series which is more closely linked to their royal connections may be what Netflix bosses would have pushed for.

"I don’t think either of these will be blockbusters, but lifestyle programmes generally appeal to a broad range of people and Meghan may well have some interesting tips on cooking and stuff around the home," former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond exclusively told OK! Addressing any pressure the couple might be under to deliver the goods, she continued: "It’s a fiercely competitive field, so it’s going to have to be good to pull the viewing figures in.

"Polo is far more niche, but on the other hand, think how successful Jilly Cooper has been writing about the polo crowd, so it could be intriguing. People do love to peek into rich people’s lives."

On whether there may have been a wish for more newsworthy content, Jennie adds: "I imagine Netflix is hankering after another expose like their docuseries on royal life. But I don’t think they are going to go it. I also think Harry and Meghan are probably learning that coming up with ideas and producing hit TV shows (as opposed to just acting in them) isn’t as easy as it might look."

Jennie's comments about the series come after Prince Harry had a busy week in Canada promoting the Invictus Games. In a pre-recorded clip, Harry had fans in stitches as he received a 'tattoo' on his neck at a New York tattoo parlour.

The clip shows the Duke of Sussex grimacing in pain as he appears to be given a shock neck tattoo by US music star Jelly Roll. In the sketch, the country singer and rapper jokes that Harry has agreed to be given his first tattoo.

Jelly Roll – who has been announced as the first headliner at the closing ceremony of the event next year – tells Harry: "Do you know, I could not believe it when they called me and told me Prince Harry wanted to get a tattoo today and he wanted me to give him his first tattoo?" However, the duke appears to have heard nothing about the deal.

"No, no, no, why are you wearing a glove?" Harry asks. Jelly Roll replies: "We are giving you a tattoo about the Invictus Games." The duke says he wanted to ask Jelly Roll "to do" the games, not to tattoo him. Jelly Roll says he will only play the games if Harry lets him give him his first tattoo.

The duke agrees and asks the music star – known for his own collection of body art – to tattoo his "lower back" or his "a**". Jelly Roll suggests he tattoos Harry’s neck instead. "Trust me, man, you wouldn’t want nobody else doing this," he tells the duke. He then tattoos 'I am Jelly Roll' on Harry’s neck, and tells him: "I’ll see you in Vancouver!"
