I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have confirmed the future of the iconic reality TV show. It comes after the crowning of McFly star Danny Jones as the latest Jungle King on Sunday, capping off a series that saw its fair share of drama with flooding at the campsite.
Ant and Dec, both 49, appeared on I'm A Celeb spin-off show Unpacked and, as host Joel Dommett, 39, asked them if they had any last words, Dec said: "We will see you next year for series 25." Ant echoed his partners enthusiasm, exclaiming "yay," while Dec turned to tease potential participants directly through the camera: "Celebrities out there, we are coming for you," he warned with a point for emphasis.
Joel chuckled along, encouraging the live audience in the studio to give a round of applause for Ant and Dec. The announcement sparked a wave of excitement online, with fans sharing their thoughts about the news. One enthused: "First series I’ve watched in 6 years, all thanks to the amazing campmates and what a series it was! The trials, laughs, and support were unmatched. I doubt we’ll see another like it. Producers have their work cut out for 2025!" Another chimed in: "Well that’s all for this year — but in 2025 ITV are celebrating the 25th year of Big Brother AND the 25th series of I’m a Celebrity! Let’s hope they pull out all the stops."
One fan took to Twitter in astonishment, posting: "Who’d have thought when @antanddec did series one of #ImACeleb that not only would it still be going in 2025 but that a reverend would come 3rd!!!!"
But the series is not yet over. ITV have announced that Coming Out, which follows each celebrity on their journey after they leave camp, will air on Friday 13 December on ITV1 at 9pm.
McFly star Danny was crowned as King of the Jungle on Sunday 8 December, marking a historic win for the McFly star as he also won the most recent series of The Masked Singer, where he was disguised as Piranha, and, with bandmate Tom Fletcher, was the winning coach on this year’s The Voice, mentoring singer AVA.
His first few days after leaving the jungle, and those of his fellow campmates, will be shown on Coming Out on Friday. The show will include the moments they are reunited with loved ones, their first proper meal since leaving the camp, their stay in five star luxury at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa in Australia's Surfer's Paradise, and a cast reunion party held the evening before everyone returns home. There will also be backstage interviews with the celebrities’ families, the celebrities themselves, and also hosts Ant and Dec.
Podcaster GK Barry has already given fans a glimpse of the reunion party, sharing photos on Instagram. Clips included the campmates singing along to Whitney Houston’s classic I Have Nothing, dancing to Dexy’s Midnight Runners’ song Come On Eileen, and celebrities including Oti Mabuse hitting the dance floor.
One star who will be featured in the show but won’t be part of the reunion party is Tulisa, who flew back to the UK before the finale took place on Sunday.
