Kelsey Parker has candidly shared how her late husband Tom's parents feel about her new romance during an emotional chat on ITV's Lorraine.
22 months after the Chasing the Sun singer passed away at 33 from brain cancer, Kelsey disclosed being in a relationship with 27 year old tree surgeon Will Lindsay.
Although linked since September and reportedly having introduced him to her kids, Aurelia and Bodhi, it was on Friday's show with host Ranvir Singh that Kelsey delved into her family dynamics.
She passionately expressed that Tom is ever-present in their home and that his parents, Noreen and Nigel, have been nothing but supportive of her choices.
With heartfelt transparency, Kelsey told viewers: "I've got such an amazing village and even with Tom's parents Noreen and Nigel, they have supported me with whatever I've decided to do and they understand how hard it is."
The devoted mother emphasised the continuous presence of Tom in their day-to-day life, maintaining open discussions with her young children about their dad: "For us at home, Tom is so alive in our house and we speak to him everyday.
For my children, they are still babies and they are still processing it everyday so these conversations are never going to go away and we are still dealing with the conversation.", reports the Mirror.
Kelsey Parker opened up about feeling 'lonely' and her journey to finding happiness again. She shared: "it's about finding happiness and with friends and family there is only so much they can do and it's lovely to have someone to offload to. I was lonely and I'm 34 now, I was so lonely and just wanted someone and now I've met someone."
The young widow encouraged others in her position, saying there's 'no wrong or right way to grieve'. Kelsey explained: "I don't think anyone can fully understand but I have built a community online and I'm doing this for them."
On moving forward, Kelsey reflected: "What I've learnt is there is no wrong or right way to grieve and we all talk about when is it the right time to move on and I just don't think there is a right time. I never thought at the age of 32 with two young children that I would have been widowed."
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV1 at 9am
