Viewers have been divided over the appearance of adult content creator Bonnie Blue on This Morning on Tuesday 26 November. She was introduced by hosts Andi Peters and Cat Deeley, who asked: "Is she just a content creator making money or a dangerous predator that should be stopped? Bonnie joins us now." Also debating Bonnie’s work was regular guest Ashley James.
Bonnie is a 25 year old adult entertainer who has caused controversy by claiming she has slept with hundreds of 18 and 19 year old men for her content, many of whom she has met on a tour around universities in the UK. Bonnie films these liaisons for her channel, asserting that her actions serve to 'educate' older teens about sex. Known for her bold statement that she "loves taking virginities", she openly advertises her whereabouts for those interested in getting intimate.
Talking to Cat and Andi, Bonnie said: "I didn't understand the educational side of things, so yeah it started off purely about money. But, as I got into it and as I educated myself on the industry, not only did I realise how much pleasure I received from it but also how much there's a missing gap on educational content online."
Ashley, however, was not impressed and highlighted Bonnie’s activities with teenage men were “barely legal.” She then added: "My point here is, what are you doing to teach young boys and girls that they don't just exist, women do not exist to please men? Men do not have a right to cheat with partners, but also how are you teaching young boys that male pleasure is not the ultimate? There's female pleasure, there's respect, what are you going to teach young men that they don't just have an automatic right to sex?"
Things then got heated as Ashley spoke over Bonnie, leading the content creator to ask "Are you going to let me speak?" and viewers were not impressed. One wrote: "Get her off” this is an ALL time low for #ThisMorning and truly shocked they think this is what people want to watch on morning TV."
Another commented: "Whoever invited Bonnie blue on this morning needs sacking #ThisMorning absolutely VILE," while a third said: “ITV and This Morning giving the predator Bonnie Blue air time is shameful. Literally everyone has disassociated from her yet you’re promoting this.” One fan went so far as to write: “Dear police. Bonnie Blue is in the This Morning studio.” There is no suggestion that anything Bonnie Blue is doing is illegal.
GK Barry, who is currently appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has also been caught up in the outrage that has been directed at Bonnie after she interviewed the adult star on her podcast, especially after a TikTok clip from it went viral. One disgruntled fan commented: "Grace, this episode is a disgrace to women and feminism as well as sex workers across the globe," while another expressed disappointment saying: "This is such a shame, Grace, not gonna listen to the pod anymore."
During her chat with GK Barry, Bonnie revealed that her 'niche' is sleeping with students, stating: "I love it, they loved it and it made me rich."
