We're herewith announcing our monthly photo contest for July. The theme for this month is "Nature".

Nature photography is a wide range of photography taken outdoors and devoted to displaying natural elements such as landscapes, wildlife, plants, and close-ups of natural scenes and textures.

First prize is a $50 gift card to B&H Photo, second prize is a one year forum account upgrade, and third prize is a box of photo paper form Red River.

"Ella, please don't do that" by decreed

It is our pleasure to announce the winners of our May, 2024 "Emotions" photo contest! In first place was forum member decreed from England who captured "Ella, please don't do that" (pictured above). This photo was shot with a Pentax K-3 and an Tamron SP 18-250mm lens.

Our runners-up were forum member Weevil from Canada in second place with "Mixed Emotions" and amrocha from Brazil in third place with "Pure Joy". Click on either thumbnail for a larger version.

"Marche Aux Legumes"

Hello forum members.

First, I would like to thank all who nominated and voted for my image. It was a very strong field and I feel very honoured and humbled to have come first.

This image "Marche Aux Legumes" was shot in the historic cathedral city of Chartres, in the Loire Valley, France in 2015. Having visited the famous cathedral, we were wandering around the city and chanced upon this wonderful structure of the vegetable market. Apart from a few people having lunch in the restaurants that border the market, it was deserted (obviously not market-day).
