Christmas time is a real excuse to become one with the sofa and watch copious amounts of TV and films. If you’re a Sky customer, then you have plenty of content coming your way to fill the festive season.
There’s almost too much to choose from these days so it can be overwhelming to pick what to stream. That’s why we’ve rounded up all the best Christmas TV and Christmas movies coming to Sky for December 2024.
There’s everything from Sky Originals such as comedy Bad Tidings starring Lee Mack and Chris McCausland, to last year’s musical blockbuster, Wonka.
Plenty of content, including countless Christmas films on Sky Cinema, are already available to stream on demand. So get the kettle on, grab your remote control and settle in for hours of festive entertainment.
Sky Christmas freebies
Before we look at some of the film and TV highlights, Sky has a selection of Christmas gifts available to customers.
You’ll find these in the My Sky app under the Sky VIP section and this year includes a free Dairy Milk chocolate bar up the value of £1.65 from Tesco.
There are also competitions to get tickets to ice skating rinks, light trails, pantomimes, Lapland and lots more, so you could get an unexpected Christmas gift if you’re lucky.

Sky Cinema Christmas movies 2024
Here’s a list of the premieres and Christmas films on Sky Cinema throughout December. Available via Sky Q, Sky Glass, Sky Stream or on Now with a Sky Cinema Membership.

Sky has a number of originals and specials airing this Christmas. Here are our picks of some of the best:
Nutcracker: Backstage with English National Ballet
9 December – Sky Arts/Now
This Sky Original goes behind-the-scenes with the incredible Company behind the Nutcracker, following the dancers, musicians, costumers and more as they build towards opening night at the London Coliseum. Then, you can watch the performance in full to see how all the preparation pays off.
The Night Before Christmas in Wonderland
13 December – Sky Cinema/Now
On Christmas Eve, St Nick receives a delayed letter from the Princess of Hearts. He and his reindeer set off for a journey to Wonderland, where he meets the mean Queen of Hearts, who despises Christmas. To change her mind and save the holiday, he must team up with Alice, the Mad Hatter and March Hare. This charming animation has a stellar voice cast, including Gerard Butler, Emilia Clarke and Simone Ashley.
Never Mind the Xmas Buzzcocks
18 December – Sky Max/Now
Following the fourth series, the popular music quiz is back for another festive special. Hosted by Greg Davies with guests including Daisy May Cooper, Noel Fielding, Jamali Maddix, Chris Ramsey, Elle Henderson and Jordan North.
Miracles
19 December – Sky Max/Now
Steven Frayne is better known as Dynamo, and this magic show sees him return to the streets and deliver some of the incredible tricks he’s known for – ending in a thrilling finale that is the “miracle to end all miracles”.
Bad Tidings
22 December – Sky Max/Now
Comedy legends Lee Mack and Chris McCausland butt heads in this upcoming Sky Original, when Scott (McCausland) swaps bins with his neighbour, Neil (Mack), and annoys him with distracting Christmas lights. When the pair get into an argument about the Neighbourhood Watch, they blow the power for the whole street… on Christmas Eve. They must then team up to protect the community when robbers decide to take advantage.
Paul McCartney and Wings: One Hand Clapping
26 December – Sky Arts/Now
If you’re a fan of The Beatles, don’t miss this incredible documentary that takes audiences back to 1974, Abbey Road. We get a first look at never-before-seen footage and interviews of Paul McCartney, and a full acoustic performance.
