Barron Trump is one of the more mysterious figures in Trumpworld. Until recently, all we really knew about Trump’s 18-year-old son was that he was really tall, enrolled at NYU, and prone to wearing Adidas Gazelles. But earlier this month, it came to light that he may have played a crucial role in his father’s re-election by engineering his appearance on a number of manosphere podcasts — a revelation made all the more unsettling by the fact that we haven’t heard him speak publicly in at least a decade.
Considering Barron has been in the public eye his entire life, it’s kind of impressive that there’s so little documentation of his voice out there. Amid rampant speculation about all things Barron, a recently recirculated video clip gives us an idea of what his voice sounded like … 14 years ago. The footage, which appears to have come from a Larry King segment, shows a 4-year-old Barron playing in an office-like room somewhere in a Trump property with both his parents. When he does speak, it sounds a little like Barron had picked up Melania’s Slovenian accent, which also seemed to be the case in an ET home tour of the Trumps’ penthouse from the same year.
Since 2010, Barron’s voice has barely been documented. Unlike some other family members, he opted not to speak at the RNC, which he actually skipped, citing “prior commitments.” He was also scheduled to partake in a virtual cryptocurrency discussion with his father and Don Jr. in September but reportedly failed to show up to the livestream. In May, someone posted a brief video of him schmoozing at a recent Mar-a-Lago party, which TMZ described as “Barron Trump heard speaking for first time.” Personally, I am having trouble hearing anything, but a lot of commenters seem to think he sounds like Cousin Greg. He certainly has the legs for it.
