I used to stay at a domestic youth hostel for more than 400 nights as a hostel, but the hotel I stayed at this time was an accommodation for Swiss youth hostel association members. In principle, it is self-service, but I did not feel particularly dissatisfied, and it was evaluated as wonderful among the facilities I have stayed so far as the above evaluation. This time, I didn't use the swimming pool, wellness, sauna, etc. for convenience, but I was able to spend a fun 2 days.
Hotel Allalin Saas-Fee

We had a wonderful time at the hotel Allalin. From the moment we were picked up at the bus terminal by Stephania (how did you lift our suitcases so effortlessly! ) until the time we left to go home we were made most welcome. Food, ambiance and atmosphere at the Zubriggen family run hotel are of the highest quality. A special mention to the lady who served breakfast ( we didn’t catch her name, but know she is coming to London in August). She always had a smile and nothing was too much trouble. The view from our balcony of the mountains of Saas Fee was to die for. If I was to make one slightly negative comment and this is out of the hands of the hotel. The hotel is adjacent to a road and at night if you have the windows open you may hear street noise as people return to their apartments. Also the construction work going on starts fairly early in the morning often at 7.00am and the noise can be intrusive. All in all we had a fabulous holiday.

Like all hotels in Saas-Fee, you just have to ask to get the people collecting you at the parking (Saas-fee is car-free). But, I can tell you that they went far and beyond our expectations to be pleasant even in little details. - Very nice ”gala dinner” proposed ahead of our arrival (and at a reasonable price) - Not putting any pressure on our eating in the hôtel, they offered many different options to eat out. - The Valais was offering vouchers (Covid-19 consequence) that they helped redeem. - They included Saastal card to get free cable cars for a couple of days. - A few little sweet niceties I won't describe to avoid creating expectations, but we felt like welcome friends, rather than customers. Nice smiles, of course. Family-owned business. Everybody here to help and please from the restaurant to the desk. Thanks you!
Walliserhof Grand-Hotel & Spa Relais & Châteaux

Thanks to the staff for upgrading the room for us, we can enjoy the beautiful view of Matterhorn from the terrace, which is very happy. The room is spacious, has a self-service dining area, and is fully equipped with stoves and cooking utensils. It is very suitable for skiers. The bathroom is very clean, there is a bathtub for soaking, and there is also a public swimming pool and spa. It's a pity that I didn't check-in earlier. I must come earlier next time to enjoy it. The location is excellent, only 4 minutes away from the train station, and it's easy to walk with your suitcase. It is walking distance from Gornergrat and Sunnegga stations, and there is a bus stop at the door to the Metterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car station. Breakfast is very rich and delicious. This stay is really worth the money👍🏼
