Guanyinqiao/ 9 Street
The front desk service is very good. Before arriving at the hotel, they will call me to confirm the time and room requirements. When checking in, the lady noticed that I was coughing and took the initiative to bring me a few bottles of warm mineral water. It was really thoughtful! The room is clean and comfortable, with complete facilities. There is a small refrigerator in the room, and there are mineral water, cola and tea π in the refrigerator. There are 3 kinds of tea, and guests can choose any of them. If you don’t like it, there are ginseng, tuckahoe, and coix seed tea and health-preserving small ingredients in the lobby. The 24-hour laundry service is very good and saves me a lot of time. Every detail is carefully considered, and the fresh bouquets everywhere are in harmony with the heart! Very good!

Winters are milder but can be cloudy and chilly, so pack warmer layers if you're visiting during this time. The city experiences a lot of fog and rain, especially in summer, so an umbrella might come in handy!

Footwear: Chongqing is a city built on steep hills and mountainous terrain, so comfortable, sturdy shoes are a must. Whether you're walking through the old streets of Ciqikou or exploring the more modern areas like Jiefangbei, your feet will appreciate shoes that can handle uneven surfaces and long walks.

While many people in the city can understand basic Mandarin, learning a few simple phrases in Chinese can go a long way in making your trip smoother. Transportation: The metro system is well-developed and an easy way to get around the city. However, taxis and ride-hailing apps like Didi are also widely available if you prefer a more direct route. Be prepared for some traffic, especially during rush hours, as Chongqing's hilly landscape can make commuting a bit slower.

Cuisine: Chongqing is famous for its spicy hotpot, and you’ll find it on almost every corner. Be sure to try the local specialties, but be warned—it’s not for the faint-hearted! If you’re not used to spicy food, start with milder options and always have a cold drink on hand. It’s also common to share meals, so don’t hesitate to dig in with your fellow diners.
