Breakfast is very good. The chef orders it now: omelet, shredded cheese, vegetables, mushrooms, etc. It's great. Other kinds of bread, fresh juice coffee tea. Meat has sausages, bacon. The hotel is very well located in terms of transport, but the service at reception was very unprofessional. I arrived after 3 p.m., but the room wasn't ready. I wanted a quiet room, but was given a large bed room, without taking into account that I had requested a separate twin room. Then I went back to reception and the room category I had requested was downgraded.

Dear readers, as unsatisfactory guest, I would like to share my experience in this hotel. First of all, I must say that the central location of the hotel is positive. I also liked the impressive hall of red marble in the eastern style. My room on the 5th floor was pleasantly large and offered a good view of the city. Unfortunately, this is the hotel at the crossing of two main roads. This means that the traffic around the clock is very strong and especially at night when the Poser scene tries her PS-stark cars, I was always wake up at night. Also the equipment is simple and has come into the years. The garden fell to me immediately when hearing, because the holder was defect and it was no longer fitted. The very bright room was also a big problem because I could hear any noise from the neighbouring rooms. The breakfast was a great disappointment, as low-quality goods were used, the cheapest available on the market. All in all, this was the last time I stayed in this hotel. On the second day I went to a bakery in the morning. Unfortunately, I can't make a recommendation for this hotel and advise potential guests to look after a better option. The price is very convenient. The location is very beautiful and Turkish restaurants are on the street. The room is a front number. The tea Water coffee is all available and the tea heating is available. I want to come back to a great place.

Outstanding hotel! Exceptionally clean. Great service. Friendly staff. Very easy access to major roads and freeways. Plenty of parking. Truly a 4 star US equivalent in quality and room size. One of the best European hotels I've stayed in.

Wir waren als Gäste einer Hochzeitsfeier im l'Arrivee und haben dort eine Nacht von Freitag auf Samstag in einem Standardzimmer verbracht. Das Haus und die Zimmer machen einen gepflegten Eindruck, die Farbgebung in überwiegend dunklen Brauntönen ist Geschmacksache, auf uns wirkte sie etwas altbacken. Unser Standardzimmer im zweiten Stock war in Ordnung. Die Betten waren bequem, Schrankraum ausreichend vorhanden. Was uns nicht gefiel waren zwei Dinge in dem eher kleinen Bad: zum einen die weder blick- noch halbwegs schalldichte Tür, zum anderen die Duschkabine. Weil deren Boden offenbar ein zu geringes Gefälle aufweist und die Faltwänden unten nicht bündig abschließen, steht nach dem Duschen das Bad fast komplett unter Wasser. Eine echte Zumutung war die stark eingeschränkte Verfügbarkeit unseres Zimmers: Angekündigt worden war uns, dass wir das Zimmer erst ab 19 Uhr beziehen könnten. Die Begründung: Das l'Arrivee ist das Mannschaftshotel des Fußballvereins BVB, vor jedem Heimspiel versammelt sich die Mannschaft dort, um sich mental auf das Spiel vorzubereiten. Offenbar wird dadurch ein Großteil der Zimmer für Stunden blockiert und steht erst zur Verfügung, wenn die Mannschaft das Haus verlassen hat. Tatsächlich konnten wir unser Zimmer aber erst nach 21 Uhr beziehen und das auch erst nach Intervention beim Manager on Duty. Was unserer Meinung nach nicht in Ordnung ist: Wir haben für das Zimmer 160 Euro inklusive Frühstück bezahlt, konnten es aber nicht - wir üblich und wie im Hotelprospekt versprochen - um 15 Uhr beziehen, sondern erst um 21 Uhr. Auschecken mussten wir trotzdem bis 12 Uhr. Eine Nutzung der Spa-Angebote, mit denen das Hotel wirbt, kam da schon aus zeitlichen Gründen nicht mehr in Frage. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht mehr. Erschwerend hinzu kam der wenig professionelle Umgang des Managers on Duty mit unserer Beschwerde. Er behauptete, die eingeschränkte Verfügbarkeit der Zimmer bei BVB-Heimspielen werde auf der Web-Site des Hotels angezeigt. Wir haben trotz intensiver Suche keinen entsprechenden Hinweis gefunden. Er zog außerdem in Zweifel, dass uns das Zimmer ab 19 Uhr zugesagt worden sei. Last-but-least war es ausgesprochen unangenehm mit einhören zu müssen, wie der Manager on Duty die offenbar mit der Reinigung unseres Zimmers beschäftigte Housekeeping-Mitarbeiterin zur Eile antrieb. Frühstück gibt es am Wochenende bis 11 Uhr, das Angebot war reichhaltig, wurde allerdings nur teilweise ergänzt. Als wir gegen 10 Uhr eintrafen, gab es zum Beispiel keinen Lachs mehr, später waren auch die Croissants ”aus”. Abschließend noch eine Bemerkung zum Buffet während der Hochzeitsfeier. Vorspeisen und Desserts waren in Ordnung, die Qualität der Beilagen zum Hauptgericht eher unterdurchschnittlich: Die Sahnesauce zu den Nudeln war eingekocht, das gemischte Gemüses matschig und ohne Geschmack, das Ratatouille unansehnlich. Einen Pluspunkt würden wir für die Weine vergeben.

Budget friendly hotel, room was nice. Aircon was loud and didn’t do an awful lot, Bathroom was the best. Bed very comfortable however the bedroom itself wasn’t exactly spacious! Be prepared, no wardrobe or draws of any kind just a rail for hangers. No safe either, bottle of water supplied but room was that disgustingly warm it was warm as there wasn’t a fridge. Well worth the stay if visiting football game and it’s a good price! It’s literally on the public tram (seems to be free as no ticket barriers) Parking is very very sparse however street parking was safe and didn’t receive a fine to the side of the hotel. Check in was easy. Can’t comment on breakfast as wasn’t going to pay €15 each for a continental breakfast which was very very small selection. Rate the hotel if you can get it cheap as it’s very good location and quie!

First of all Enter Märkische Str. 73, 44141 Dortmund into the sat nav and not the address Landgrafenstrase 1. You will find the hotel better that way. The hotel has parking spaces in front of the hotel and in the parking garage which is shared with the Rewe. In other words, the Rewe is right next to the hotel. The rooms are quite small, and the TV is small too, but I'm not on vacation watching TV, so the room has enough power sockets and is clean. The breakfast buffet is manageable but there is something for everyone and offers enough choice so there should be something for everyone. It would be nice to have a machine for fresh orange juice as it is almost everywhere. The reception is open 24/7 and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, the shoe shine machine has been removed. The subway is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and you can get to the city center without having to change. The hotel is in a quiet location and you can get to the city center in 11 minutes by subway.

Ein sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer, mit dessem Größe wir nicht gerechnet hatten. Neben dem großen Doppelbett standen am Eck noch eine Couch und ein Sessel nebst Tischchen. An der Wand hing in sehr großer Flachbild-TV, auf dem sogar SKY-TV kostenlos genutzt werden konnte, ebenso das war das W-Lan inkludiert. Das Bad war zwar etwas beengt, aber gut ausgestattet und modern eingerichtet. Das gesamte Haus erschien vor nicht allzu langer Zeit renoviert worden zu sein, die Gänge waren im modernenStil gehalten und sprachen mit den Foto-Tapeten mit Aufdrücken von James Dean, Madonna und anderen Stars auch das jüngere Klientel an. Leider gab es nur einen Aufzug, der dem Alter des Gebäudes entsprach aber nicht minder schlecht funktionierte. Das Frühstücks-Buffet war sehr lecker. Gut sortierte Wurstsorten nebst Salami und auch Cornedbeef. Verschiedenste Marmeladen,Schoko-Cremes und einefrische Honig-Wabe standen genau so da wie auch eine gut sortierteReihe an Cerealien mit Frischer Milch, verschedenste Säfte und zwei Caffee-Vollautomaten mit Milch-Caffee, Cappucino, Latte-Machiato und Espresso, aslo für jeden was dabei. Es gab sogar Lachs, der in kleinen Portionen dageboten wurde. Man konnte sich auch frisches Omelett oder Spiegeleier und frischen Speck braten lassen. Brötchen verschiedenster Art, Weizen, Roggen,- und sogar Milch-Brötchen sowie verschiedene Brot-Sorten und Croussons mit oder ohne Schoko-Füllung. Abgerundet wurde das Buffet mit frischem Obst. Man füllte mir bei Abreise sogar meine Thermoskanne mit frischem Filterkaffee für die Heimreise. Ich habe selten ein so reichhaltiges und leckeres Frühstück in einem Hotel erleben dürfen.

Great location, very close by to restaurants, bars and shops. Close by to U bahn stop and easy to walk with suitcases from the Hautbahnhof. The room had a sink which was helpful although the room could get a bit stuffy in the summer weather. The toilets and showers were in separate rooms - there was more than enough of both so you didn't have to wait. The breakfast had a lot of variety of meat, cheese, bread, yoghurt, cereal, fruit. Staff were very friendly although not the most help with questions we had. Unfortunately on all 3 nights there were groups of children making lots of noise up until 12am. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend it.
