Hotel location is very good. Just in the port area. The scenery in the next round is very good. The hotel's daily store is also delicious. The main one is very safe. Compared with other four seasons, the obvious feeling is that the sanitary preparations are slightly inferior. There is actually a dead ant under the pillow. There are mosquitoes in the room, 16th floor, I really don't know where to come... Oh, the breakfast environment is also very good, overall good, recommended!

From check in at front desk, Ashley the person who checked us in was amazing, we were greeted by her and very welcoming, she has a great personality and pleasant person to talk to and we saw her again at breakfast where she was stationed and there she continued to person she is when we checked in. Absolutely will come again and hope she is the person we see from start to finish.

Ulysses, an Ash Hotel Hotels in Baltimore
Ulysses, an Ash Hotel Hotels in BaltimoreUlysses, an Ash Hotel Hotels in Baltimore
Hotel near Baltimore
RRick 2023.10.15
Ah, Baltimore, a city of rich history and eclectic charm. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of a stay at the Hotel Ulysses, a luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of this vibrant city. True to the reputation of the New York-based design firm, Ash, the Ulysses is nothing short of an architectural marvel. The first thing that catches your eye? The hotel's impeccable aesthetic. It's a masterful blend of old-world charm and modern design, encapsulating the very essence of Baltimore's diverse character. While the rooms might have been a tad on the cozier side, they more than made up for it with their plush comfort and attention to detail. The Ulysses truly exemplifies the notion that beauty lies in the details, and the meticulousness with which they've curated every aspect of the guest experience speaks volumes. The 19th-century charm of the Mount Vernon neighborhood is beautifully echoed within the Ulysses. The delicate stained-glass skylight, the ornate crown molding, and the preserved brass postal box serve as a testament to the building's rich history. But it's not all vintage here. The interiors seamlessly transition from the ornate influences of the Art Nouveau era to a more streamlined approach, evident in the hickory wood furniture adorned with Ash’s custom textiles. And oh, those hand-beaded lampshades and embroidered quilts! They added the perfect splash of color and quirk. A special shout-out to the carved flamingos that support the bedside tables, a delightful nod to Baltimore's own John Waters and his ”Pink Flamingos.” It's this mix of opulence and eccentricity that makes the Ulysses stand out. Booking through Trip.com was a new experience for us. A bit unconventional, sure, but it came through in the clutch. The $35 ”destination fee” threw us for a loop initially, but the $20 credit we received towards our bill at the hotel restaurant (Ash Bar) or the bar (Blooms) made it all worth it. Speaking of Blooms, what an experience! The mirrored ceiling, the crimson banquettes, and the purple stools set the stage for a night to remember. In a nutshell? The Hotel Ulysses is a triumph, an ode to Baltimore's multifaceted spirit. Whether you're here for the history, the design, or the sheer experience, the Ulysses promises and delivers. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It was very lovely. The view of the water from our room was magnificent. The room was a great size and was very clean. The only thing I wish is that the parking garage was a little closer, but they do offer valet service. So all in all I had a great experience. O and also they let me check in early, which was a life saver.

The room is big, the bathroom is also big, the location is excellent, but the surrounding environment is average. There is no self-owned parking lot, but the doorman can park the car at a nearby public parking lot, and can also pick up the car for you. There is a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, kitchenware and tableware, and the facilities are good. The disadvantage is that it is a bit old.

2024.10.15
This was probably one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had in my entire life. We spent close to $2,000 at this hotel with a one week stay, so to say the least, our expectations were high. We paid extra for a “harbor view” and when we walked into our room and opened the shutters, we were surprised to find that there was a chain link fence, a red “keep out/no trespassing” sign and a peekaboo harbor view at best. We immediately went to the front desk to either get a rate reduction or to switch to another room entirely, because we refused to pay extra for a view of a chain link fence. Then we get switched to a room that directly faces the roundabout so we can hear everyone walk by the hotel and everyone drive in with their headlights. (Adding a blackout curtain would be super helpful, since all of the rooms just have wooden shutters). When we were at breakfast, (which by the way any Holiday Inn far surpasses what is offered at this hotel) a woman came up to us and said “excuse me, put your dishes in here” as she pointed to a black dish bin. We looked super confused because we had just started eating. I said what? She then repeated herself curtly and I said okay, we figured as such…Usually when there is a dish bin out, I naturally assume that we have to buss our own table. (She came up to us every morning we were there to remind us to do this). The next day, we realized we were going to need more wash cloths and toilet paper during our stay. (Our room did not come with a spare roll like most hotels). So not thinking this would be a huge ask, I called the front desk and asked for 8 wash cloths and two rolls of toilet paper as we were staying for a week, I knew we would need about that much. The front desk agent was audibly annoyed and asked if I could wait until housekeeping was available and I said of course. Later in the afternoon I noticed I still had not received them so I went to the front desk, where an altercation then ensued. I kindly asked for them a second time and was met with attitude. The front desk lady said that the hotel has limited supplies and could not give me 8 washcloths for our week stay. She handed me 1 roll of toilet paper and 2 wash cloths. She told me that I needed to leave my dirty towels at my door before I could get any more new ones. She said that’s usually “how hotels work”. I told her that I have in fact stayed at copious amounts of hotels both small and large during my travels and never once was asking for more linens or toilet paper an issue, let alone met with such attitude when I was making such a simple request. For how much they charge, maybe they should switch laundry services or order more supplies if they have a hard time handing out a few more washcloths and toilet paper to guests. She was entirely rude and I eventually turned away and removed myself from the conversation because it was clear that I wasn’t going to be met with any kind of courtesy. Then, later that day we came back to the

TTracie WestThe hotel staff is exceptionally kind from the front desk to the cleaning staff. The location is a few blocks from the harbor and located next to Lexington Market. The breakfast was good with a waffle machine, eggs, sausage, yummy oatmeal with a wide variety of add-inns. Blueberry compote and candied pecans were my favorites. The room is spacious and clean with comfy beds and pillows. Overall I definitely would recommend. It's was a great price for the service. Newly renovated!

Don't live here if you are not bold enough. As soon as I entered the hotel and saw a glass room at the front desk, I felt that the law and order was not good. There should be robbery and other things happening frequently. The quality of the guests here is not high. Pay special attention to taking the elevator. A male guest touched the lower body in front of us in the elevator. All three of us have seen strange things, so the surface is very calm. Fortunately, another male is with us in the elevator, which seems to protect us from harassment. So it is not a last resort, choose another one.

GGuest UserI called first to ask if we could have 2 rooms next to or close to each other. She assured me that would happen. So I made a reservation on June 9th for 2 double rooms, for the night of June 24th, 15 days later. We got there between 3:30 & 4:00. We were told the rooms weren’t next to each other, only one room was ready & the rooms were on different floors. The lady who checked us in went to make sure the room on the first floor (#112) was ready. We found this very odd as check out time is 11 & check in time is 3:00. She came back out from the hallway to the rooms, with another woman, who was protesting the price of water. The clerk told her “the price of everything is going up.” She gave us a key, & we went to get our things from the car. Our group of 4 fought our way to the lobby with our belongings, because there were refugees blocking the main entrance. We put everything in the first room, avoiding the trash strewn all over the hallway & we smelled bacon throughout the hallway. Multiple problems with this room include: the light in the bathroom didn’t work, there was a bag of chicken bones spilled behind the door of the room, there was trash behind the nightstand, no room phone, no microwave, no trash can, the tv didn’t work, the toilet seat wasn’t attached to the toilet, & the biggest thing was the smoke detector was not on the ceiling only BARE wires hanging! Staff came to clean up & fix the bathroom light. We left for dinner & when we came back 2 hours later, the old light fixture for the bathroom was in the entryway of the room along with the cover for the light & the light STILL didn’t work! That pretty much cancelled any sense of privacy as the bathroom door had to be opened while in use in order to see anything. Obviously, they couldn’t use the shower & were naturally reluctant to do so, because of the poor condition of the hotel & room in general. Children were constantly running up & down the hallways, screaming & banging on & into the room door, until well past midnight. Later, feces were discovered on the bedsheets. Just after midnight, there was a screaming match between 2 women in the hallway of the first floor, directly outside of room 112. It went on for hours. No room phone, so couldn’t call the front desk to report it, though how they couldn’t hear it from the front desk, is a mystery to me. Of course, no one in their right mind would have gone out to the hallway & make their way to the front desk personally, not knowing how serious the hallway fight was. When we were able to get into the 2nd room (#204) it also had a disabled (wires hanging) smoke detector, & the shower, once turned on, had mold coming out of it in clumps, no microwave & no refrigerator, the only accessible working electrical outlets were on the lamps, none in the bathroom, the phone was on the bottom shelf of the nightstand also disabled, we didn’t attempt turning the tv on with the electrical issues in the room, cigarette burns on the sheets. Llove is blueThere were still a few hours before I went to Dulles Airport, so I went to the Maryland Science Center in Baltimore. Provided a lot of scientific knowledge for kids like me and older kids (Grandma's time). The best part is a real bed nail try, surprisingly comfortable. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Baltimore.

Port Discovery Children's Museum
