The staff here -- Rebecca and Greg and another front desk person who unfortunately i didn't get the name of -- are all EXCELLENT. They go the extra mile. Rebecca kindly upgraded our room to a one-bedroom, and Greg schlepped to another building to get us more pillows. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was fine, but the real highlight was the warm helpfulness of the staff.
There is a parking lot. On the highway side, it is convenient to get in and out of the highway. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. There is free coffee and tea in the lobby for 24 hours. The room is very good. There is a sofa bed.
I rarely write these reviews, for I really don't anyone staying in my favorite Hotels except for, well, me and mine and those that work there. But, again, sheer decency forces me to say, their doing a hellava job here in Pandemic Hoteleiry. The people here are fantastic, and when they say they are going to get the job done, you can bank on it. First I get the incomparable Gazmend on the Front Desk by phone at about Dawn, and he assures me that he will get me into a room as soon after my 9:00 AM arrival in New Haven, and when Gazment says it, it gets done: I was in my room by 11:30, after a very nice lunch at Pop's (suggested, of course, by....) Place some ten minute walk from the Hotel, where, of course, my luggage was guarded by,, I also must mention the ubiquitous and charming Ms. M of the morning's 6 - 10 breackfast cafe: Manager, Hostess, Server and gladsome smile in the early light. Ms. M's equal will only be found in Ric of Casablanca's Cafe Americaine, or, even, Beauty And The Beast's celebrated Luniere - she is the conductor who orchestrates your Breakfast Experience. Man, I hope New Haven proves the equal of the Hotel, for then it will be a great trip. From New Haven, this is Michael Pollens

I was really surprised when I entered the room. The room is super large, small suite, with a large sofa, it is suitable for 5 people, the only small regret is that the air conditioner is old-fashioned, slow in response, and a bit noisy.
Close to everything .. mall, food, train station and downtown. You can stay without a car as everything is within walking distance and it is good for a few nights.. nothing fancy but just clean and convenient
Breakfast was disappointing- there were no breakfast potatoes, no yogurt, and only instant oatmeal. Room was small, but clean and had a lot of clever places to store things. Convenient location. No pool, but good for staying overnight only.
When I visited Yale University, I stayed for one night, not far from Yale University, and the transportation was convenient. The free parking lot was sufficient. Breakfast is good in a similar hotel.
I would say you get what you pay for but that wouldn't be true, I paid to much for what I got. they didn't forget to tell me about the $200 cleaning fee if the catch you smoking in the Room but as soon as you open the room door it smells like a wet ashtray. the bathrooms are wa to small im on crutches and it was almost impossible to **** and shower.
