GGuest UserThis hotel had some wonderful review which actually led me to book it for the first time . This was my third visit to the property. Based on my experience over the three visit which were rather lengthy this hotel’s target market is predominantly local market . If compared to their international franchise 4 star peers the hotel lacks in many areas.
1. They offer a good spread of buffet breakfast but the assortment is mostly focused on locals guests . The selection seldom changes.
2. The bakery products offered were not fresh . Found to be cold and stale
3. Fresh fruits were found to be mixed with stale ones , not sure if they used the ones from the previous days .
4. House keeping was not the best , often found coffee-tea cups not cleaned or replaced .
5. Requested for in room complimentary coffee instead of tea . They sell coffee pouches at lobby, but instead they ask me to go down and ask for coffee at the lobby.
6. The small gym does not have any sanitiser tissue to clean the equipment before use .
7. At the lobby they have a cafe which is also the office for the hotel management staff. In the evening the area is completely mosquito infested , difficult to sit even for 5 minutes .
8. The hotel turned off the Cookson’s system , inside room temperature went up to 29 degree C. After repeated request they did something but that also did not take the temperature below 24 Degrees.
9. The hotel needs serious consideration about training the lobby staffs . A simple way to explain is their face is curved in stone . No emotion!
10. They need to review their safety protocol, they sent my guest directly to the room without even asking .
For many my comments may not matter for some it may . I have spent almost 10 days on my last visit so I can’t ignore those .
The best part of the stay was Mary ( forgot to ask her position). I think she’s the manager . She is the ideal face of a hotel . She has been the most pleasant and supportive among all the staffs at the hotel.

GGuest UserNice resort for families with lots of activities for the little ones. Highlight was the service and all staff were friendly especially Mona who also spoke English well and shared her wechat and checked with us everyday to ensure our stay was pleasant. Bon fire and fireworks for Chinese new year were an added bonus. Mona also helped us book a BBQ tent which was a nice experience by the lake. The play area is large and could use a facelift as some areas seem dated. Buffet breakfast was nice with the usual fare and a nice touch to give the kids a small gift when they clean their plates. Although it’s winter, the temperature was quite warm and the room AC could only be used as a heater which made the room too warm so we turned off the AC and left the windows open. Car parking was mostly full during the holidays but we managed to get a slot to charge the electric car. Overall a pleasant stay.

EExploringJummieJust a leisure two days trip.. The hotel was well located close to the Meishan beach Park, the port museum and the ice and snow world - walkable distance. The staffs (especially front desks) are quite nice, always willing to help, and ready to give a cookie on request (highlight of my trip).. They had a huge variety of tasty breakfast options for locals and international.. Only issue was the squeaky cupboards in the rooms.. Oh... They have a gym and swimming pool (in-use, which is great post-covid) ..

SSunshine & rainbowsIt was our first time to visit the Grand Hyatt in Ningbo and it was lovely. The resort was beautiful and the room had an amazing lake view. Dinner at the restaurant was wonderful and exceeded expectations. Special thanks to Nancy at the front desk, she has been an absoluut delight and has made special arrangements for us. We will definitely return with family very soon.

PPeggy PegSince last visit in Ningbo we used that hotel to stay overnight for our business trips. Our old hotel „Golden Port“ is now already closed for renovations maybe. We will see. The location is near barstreet where a Irish ☘️ Pub is located. A little bit hidden in the background. There we always have nice breakfasts and some dinner.

AAugust MI recently stayed at a hotel in Ningbo, China, which had a super location close to Ningbo Railway Station. The hotel's proximity to the station made it convenient for transportation. However, there were a few aspects of my stay that could have been better.
The location of the hotel was indeed excellent, with easy access to the railway station. This made it convenient for exploring the city and accessing transportation options . The hotel's proximity to shopping streets and attractions added to its appeal.
Regarding the food, I would described as ”okay” . It seems that there were various dining options available, but the experience may have varied depending on the specific choices made.
One aspect that could be improved is the English proficiency of the reception staff. According to the search results, the staff's ability to communicate in basic English was limited . This could pose a challenge for non-Chinese guests who require assistance or have specific inquiries.
During my two-night stay, I also noticed a strong smell of cigarettes in the room. This could be a concern for those who are sensitive to smoke or prefer smoke-free environments.
Overall, the hotel's super location near Ningbo Railway Station was a major advantage. However, it is important to note the potential language barrier with the reception staff and the presence of a cigarette smell. These factors may be worth considering when choosing accommodations in Ningbo

MMattia MianiSure, it is a stunning resort and overall we enjoyed the experience. However it is far from perfect. A few issues to consider:
1) I booked a deluxe room and relying on the picture I was expecting a sofa bed on the balcony. There was no sofa bed! Bummer.
2) The bathtub is quite small, mostly for one person.
3) The guest rooms feel/are quite distant from the lake. The view is so so.
4) The resort is not really on the lake, there is a road separating it from the lake. so no rooms or villa really on the lake.
5) They mention a shuttle bus to nearby Hanling old street, but it was only running every 2 hours and needed booking... a bit complicated for a 4 minute ride.
6) The main building with the lobby has very limited facilities. Just a small deck for outdoor dining.
Overall ok, recommend to book on a weekday when the price is cheaper. I give 5 for service because it was a busy weekend and personnel was all very professional and efficient, but I did not experience anything exceptional. I tried the high end Chinese restaurant that was good and also the breakfast in line with a 5 star hotel.

EErnst NZThis is an interesting place as it’s old, contemporary style of an area past, dim lights everywhere, traditional wooden panels alongside huge heigh ceilings. It brings back a time of glamour, reminded me of the Titanic in its former glory. Yet the rooms are crammed, I hit my foot twice on the floor bed corner. The staff are friendly and helpful, english is spoken at reception. Would i stay here again? Probably not, as the darkness of the room, ( windows do open slightly) felt depressing. However great location, cross the river and you are in the mids of the city. Ernst , New Zealand
