Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 Reviews

This was a very nice stay away from main Casino district (Taipa) in Macau, and we (as a family) loved it. Let me give you few bullets 1. After booking, I send email to hotel, but there was no reply for 48 hours. 2. when enquired through Trip.com, though the booking was with Club Millesime, the first answer was no access to Longue. When enquired again, Longue access was confirmed (sound like they obliged). 3. Reaching Hotel by taxi (from HZMB port) is appx 30 minutes taxi ride (120 HKD) - on reaching hotel, we found they have bus from the port every 30 minuets - details missing on their website. 4. Check-in experience was good, no delay, no unnecessary question. 5. Pleasent surprise was level of English-speaking staff at hotel. we always found someone to talk to and find required information. 6. Club Millesime (Longue - L17) available for food three times a day - Afternoon High tea, Late evening Happy Hours and morning Breakfast. Though the food options are limited (specially for Vegetarian people), we found the place enjoyable. 7. We explored the old city (opposite to hotel) in afternoon, and it was wonderful experience. we went to Fort and Wall and possibly best narrow streets in the world. 8. Rooms were good, comfortable sleep, nice TV options (TV speakers were bad while watching movie). 9. Sofitel is working hard on Environmental stuff, you can see it everywhere in room. No water bottle, no plastic, no loose item for tooth paste, lotion, shampoo, comb etc. 10. Morning breakfast (at L6) was good, good spread and many items were fresh. During holiday period, you may need to way for some time. There were a few vegetarian options for breakfast. 11. Checkout process was very easy. 12. I couldn't experience fitness center, swimming pool and restaurant due to other priorities. check few photos (room details for more information.

Great value for money in staying here in Sofitel Ponte 16. The location was fantastic, room was very spacious and has a lot of utilities. The hotel lobby and the hotel room was very clean, the staff were friendly especially Jasmine from front desk which helped me a lot in my room upgrade. She didn't even hesitate to help us even for the smallest things. She answered all my questions professionally. Eventhough it is our first time to stay here in Sofitel, our overall experience with my family was really unforgettable. Thank you and keep up the good work. Happy Holidays😊

It is more of a business hotel rather than Macao 5* hotel style. After staying at the Venetian and Studio City, Sofitel was a bit of a let down. PROs: - amazing customer service provided by every single member of staff. I did not have any special requests, they were just perfect without me asking for it - extremely comfortable bed and pillows - excellent buffet lunch - nice pool area CONs: - the rooms are 4 star, a little sad and outdated - the bathrooms are 3 star, very old and disappointing. They must be refurbished asap (even just changing the shower glass and bath glass wall to a modern smoky glass to match the basin, changing the lamp heads to something more modern, and make the overall aesthetic dark and moody, and better shower heads would be a quick fix) - the cleaning standards are not up to par (see photos, not acceptable for a 5* hotel)

This is a palace hotel, glitter and huge. The location is stragetic and convenient. The room is spacious with stunning sea port view. The cleanliness is superb. Bed and pillows are unbelievable soft and comfy. The service staffs are friendly and helpful. The hotel provides shutter service to Zhuhai and Hong Kong ports. The hotel also gave complimentary welcome fruit plate. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciate quality and convenience. 👍

Sofitel Macau is a luxury hotel with nice and spacious rooms. Buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner is excellent, plentiful and it's also a good deal. The staff is helpful and friendly. The bar was nice but empty. Unfortunately, the location is unattractive. There's nothing to do around the hotel and the other resorts are far away.

Clean, good location, friendly staff. Only problem is hard to get taxi from the hotel.

Check in smooth and quick, would like to upgrade me, but only one bed. I need twins beds, staff try her best to upgrade me, even not seaview, but bigger more large bed.

Easy to reach location at Ponte 16 Welcomed by an easy check-in provided by Assistant Manager Sergio Choi, the Hotel is located inside a historic district, older but well maintained. The rooms are tastefully lit and designed, very clean, useful water purifier and heater. Highly recommended

Amazing stay! Spacious and very clean room! We booked here because we knew there are alot of old and local restaurants nearby. But you still have to walk at least 15 minutes, if you want to get to the city centre.

We had a great experience with nothing to complain about. The staff was kind, they will help you order taxi. The room was spacious, which my family really enjoyed. The location is also convenient, close to many attractions, and surrounded by many convenience stores and restaurants.

The location is excellent with a beautiful view, and I especially appreciate the two staff members, particularly Ms. Jessica, for her kindness and outstanding service.

Very nice hotel. Loved the bedding and the pillows. They were so comfy. Didnt use the pool but the gym was fantastic and allowed us to get a good workout in at night. Amenities are very clean and the spa on the 3rd floor was very relaxing and affordable and open 24 hours. The concierge David was very helpful as his advice helped us cross the border into China and reach our train on time. Without his help we surely would have missed our train and had to rebook. I did not love this city but I did love this hotel. Highly reccomend this hotel if you want to stay in the Cultural side of Macau. There is a casino on site but we did not use it.
