I found out about this place on Booking but in the end I booked via phone with Mr. Gianni was immediately a very kind person and proclaimer of his roots, he gave me lots of advice and solutions for our stay. We arrived in the morning giving us the opportunity to check in early and arriving to welcome us was Angela, a girl with a very nice and friendly manner who gave us advice on the day and accompanied us to the room. Small but nice spaces, very comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast, we will definitely return. Thank you very much for everything.

Characteristic structure located a few steps from Piazza San Pietro Caveoso and overlooking the Murgia Materana. The owner Gianni is a very kind person, diligent and passionate in telling the story of Matera, the origin of the b&b and extremely generous with advice on what to visit in the city and its surroundings. The entire structure is created inside the stones, well maintained and pleasantly furnished. Excellent and plentiful breakfast, the presence of Matera bread and focaccia is priceless. 5 stars more than deserved.

Il Carrubo is located in an excellent position, a few steps from the shuttle stop coming from the large car park located in via Saragat, costing €0.50 per hour, stop for Carrubo no. 7.
