Very well located new hotel. Within walking distance to some tourist attractions. Clean room. The room was a bit small. Lack of space for hanging clothes. The current provision of clothes hangers over the toilet bowl is NOT ACCEPTABLE AND Unhygienic.
The biggest disappointment was the bed which was ROCK HARD 😭. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE 🥵
This is because the bed is only the base without a mattress on top. ?????
Customer service was very good.
Special thanks to Mr Han and Ms Zeng for providing great assistance to us.

West Street/Kaiyuan Temple | 7.82km from Pacific Place Phase I
I chose this place on my last day in Quanzhou. It's very close to West Street, and it's very convenient to get around. It's an old house that has been renovated and has a bit of an antique feel. The decoration is very elegant and has local characteristics. The room is new and big, and it has a bit of a decoration feel. It's very clean, and the toothbrush is very useful. The toilet and the shower room are separated. Our room is next to the alley, and the red roof of the ancient house is outside the window, which is very beautiful. The bed is big, soft and comfortable. The hot water is very good, but it doesn't flush. There are tea sets on the first floor for tea. The service is very good, and WeChat reminds you in time, which is very good in a homestay. There is just no elevator, and it's a bit difficult to get on the high floor. In short, I'm quite satisfied.
West Street/Kaiyuan Temple | 8.23km from Pacific Place Phase I
I booked the hotel based on the good reviews. The recommendation of netizens was right. The hotel is in Sanchao Lane, 200 meters away from West Street and Kaiyuan Temple. You can see the twin towers from the rooftop. The staff are very enthusiastic and helped to carry the luggage to the room upstairs. There were many people in West Street on the weekend before the Spring Festival, but the small alleys in the ancient city gave many unexpected surprises.

Perfect
ZZeederworldWe had a lovely one night stay Very helpful and friendly hosts who live in the adjoining building Location is perfect. In between West Street and Quanzhou Ancient City. About 20 to 30 mins walk to each direction.
The ginger duck dinner (10 mins walk) and taro fritter right at the back street of this mishu (both recommended by the host) were one of the best food throughout our Fujian trip. We appreciated the host allowing us to freeze our food and helped us arrange a driver to send us to Xiamen the next day. It's door to door at RMB70 per pax (if sharing the cab with others). Cheaper than didi + train + didi and less time consuming.
The room size is slightly on the smaller side but we don't mind as we were out all day. All the basic amenities needed are provided. Most important is its clean and comfortable.
As I booked using non-Chinese no and can't read Chinese, I did not receive notifications from host right after my Trip.com booking . We depended on Baidu map to guess the location after the taxi dropped us at the main road. Be prepared to walk 2 mins into small/back lane and to enter an unlock gate to enter the compound of 2/3 residential building cluster. A bit confusing for us but we managed to locate the minshu after 5 mins.
We wish we had more time for Quanzhou. Definitely worth at 2 nights. So much more to explore here.
GGuest UserThe environment of the homestay is very comfortable. The reception auntie was very good (we didn't bring a power bank, so the auntie directly brought one to our room and replaced it at any time if it ran out of power). The breakfast was also very rich and you could take it to the yard to eat. It was very comfortable. The auntie was also very enthusiastic and would accompany us to buy local specialties. The experience was really great
GGuntoubupahoThe hotel is located in a central prime location in a busy but relatively quiet side street, very convenient and close to everything you ever need. Plenty of attractions, restaurants, cafes and places of interest all within walking distance. We had a fantastic time here in Quanzhou with superb and hospitable weather all through the week, no withstanding the taiphoon passing nearby.
The facilities are modern, even an inhouse cafe/ restaurant which provides prompt services with near perfect tasty food and drinks. The room service on the low desk in the room made it the best and most memorable dining experience we had during the mini honeymoon. See the photos attached.
The staff esp the reception, even the cleaners, went out of the way to attend to every needs and request from us, always with a smile and highly professional disposition. I personally saw how they handled a particularly difficult client with such grace and calmness, which settled the impasse pretty promptly. I saw the client a few days later who was full of smiles, satisfaction and appreciation of the level of comfort and services she received.
I couldn't have been happier the 4 days staying and could have extended more days had there been rooms available. But I promise to return when the first opportunity avail itself.
The only suggestion I can give is to make the slippery floor in the toilet more slip resistant. Perhaps with some thin layer of anti slip mat whenever requested by more senior clients like me. I was extra careful going in and out each time, as the water ponded easily there .
CConrad H.There wasn't any tourist stuff in the area, but West Street was a 15 minute car ride away. The hotel was spacious and clean and had great front desk and cleaning staff.
AAnonymous UserCheck in process is fast and everything went smooth. Room is spacious and very comfortable. Fruits and snacks are also served. Breakfast buffet has a very wide variety selection from Chinese to western cuisine, with amazing view from the top most of the hotel.
HHanlaoshi725The environment and geography are very good, the waiter is really warm, Miss Wang is even better, the transportation is very convenient, very satisfied, worth recommending
红红月I spent 6 nights at 2208. It had been saved on my Trip.com for many months before my summer holiday, so I was happy that they had availability for the week I planned to visit.
In order of importance for me as a solo (foreign female) traveler are: location, safety, and helpfulness of staff.
1. Location: I think the location is perfect. It’s on a small alley behind West Street and directly across from Kaiyuan Temple’s west gate. This area is very central and convenient.
2. Safety: Overall, the city is safe, but in reality it is nearby a main tourist destination, so to prevent non-guests from entering there is a gate with keypad access for late night. There was always staff inside at other times.
3. Helpfulness of staff: There were some language barriers due to my lack of fluency, but the staff tried to help as much as possible to make sure I was comfortable. If there was a problem it was resolved quickly and if I didn’t understand, they were patient and tried to explain it another way.
Other than these things, I’ll say there are actually two 2208 buildings in the same area. One has a view of Kaiyuan Temple from some rooms and from the rooftop; the other seems more modern but without this view. There is cleaning service available if you need it and free water bottles daily.
If you are looking for amenities such as a television or breakfast, maybe this is not a suitable option, but if you want a place to sleep nearby the best sites in Quanzhou, and have friendly staff greet you each day, then it’s a good choice.
AAnonymous UserChecked in at 16:00 in the afternoon but the room was not cleaned yet. I urged for more than half an hour. The efficiency of the housing depar**ent was not high enough and the front desk could not do anything. After checking in, I found that the water in the bathtub was not hot enough to take a bath. There is another point that needs to be improved. The outdoor faucet said that it can be washed by swiping the room card, but the card swiping was invalid. Other than that, the seaside hotel and the beach recreational facilities are all OK, and it is convenient for children to play.
JJo78The hotel is beautiful although the location is a bit uneasy due to the Chinese sign board. Moreover, the interior accommodation is very good. There is a fridge, washing machine, hairdryer, hotwater, toothbrush, shower gel, electric kettle, TV, spacious for two or three people because there is a couch too. It has beautiful window view and feels like a homestay better than a luxurious hotel. I love to go back here.

AAugust SawI am a tourist from Malaysia. Before coming here, I confirmed with the B&B owner whether foreign tourists can stay. It happened that there was a typhoon, so I also confirmed the weather in Quanzhou. The B&B owner was very enthusiastic and invited us to a drinking party every night. However, there was a bar street outside the B&B. I was attracted by many unique bars, so I didn’t have a chance to have a drink with them. But when I ran out for a midnight snack in the middle of the night, I happened to meet the B&B owner, and he treated us to a meal. The location of the B&B is very convenient. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to West Street. Going out in the morning is like the old street selling various breakfasts, and going out at night is another scene.
