This was our first and last stay at the Bayside. We had high hopes for this hotel and were unfortunately bitterly disappointed. We get one point/star for the location, which is beyond reproach. However, we didn't feel like value for money at all, as the service and cleanliness did not live up to the 4-star standard in our opinion. We also felt like we were not valued guests on a few occasions. The staff were apparently more concerned with their own advantage and sometimes behaved very selfishly towards us. I have never experienced this in any hotel, especially one that has the standards that the Bayside itself conveys. We also had the impression that the management does not try to see complaints about poor service as an opportunity and to compensate appropriately at the end of the day, but on the contrary seems to do everything in its power to reject them. During our stay we spoke to some locals (taxi drivers, etc.) who reported similar experiences from other guests. There was also talk of problems with the staff. Perhaps there is even something fundamentally wrong here. In any case, we are certain that, given the level of service we received, coupled with a price level that was completely unacceptable, and all of this coupled with this type of complaint management, we will not be coming back.
