I was in the week of October 16-22, for a conference. The hotel is a fantastic location, in front of Riverside Park, which is the centre of Spokane, two steps from the congress centre, which reaches walking by the Centennial Trail, a path that costs Spokane River for 38 miles eastward. West. It is advisable for those who have to go to work at the congress centre. They also have the Starbucks in the lobby, and the strippers of long chairs in front of the TV, always in the lobby (very Stefano? :-) The rooms are clean and comfortable, soft and large beds, as in the American style. Then Spokane is a city in the midst of a fabulous nature, in the amazing Washington State.

This is a difficult one to rate because, in a nutshell, the hotel is fine but the neighbourhood isn’t. We stayed for one night in a suite while visiting Spokane on vacation in the area. Starting off with the positives, parking is plentiful (avoid the bays for Perkins next door, which seemed to be clearly marked), and the hotel is a short walk from downtown and Riverfront Park which is what appealed to us. Our suite was a good size and clean, although a bit dark and I’m not a fan of the rough cast ceilings. Bed and sitting area were comfortable and had everything we needed. Unfortunately this hotel is in a terrible neighbourhood. Felt safe enough by day but after dark absolute carnage unfolds making any prospect of sleep near impossible. Very loud street racing all night on Division Street that the local police don’t seem to have gotten a grip on, and unsavoury groups gathering in the car park late at night that were clearly not hotel guests. There were signs of broken car windows in adjacent streets suggesting a crime problem, although we had no issues. I had to use my noise cancelling ear buds to sleep above the racket from outside, which was less than comfortable. However, it’s more a policing issue than the fault of the hotel. Breakfast was included and was quite adequate, although we were late after a poor night and almost felt we were in the way of staff who were congregating in the breakfast area. I’m a Marriott man but might try the Hilton DoubleTree next time.

We arrived last Friday and after going to bed had constant knocking from next door and loud people running and screaming. We called the front desk and after 30 min or so somebody came to stop the commotion. We are in room 228 and had upgraded the stay because we are here for 3 nights , we stayed at your hotel many times before. I am reconsidering staying at your hotel next time for our next trip to Spokane. We are also traveling with two vehicles and not having enough parking is difficult too.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with our recent stay at The Historic Davenport Hotel from Friday, September 20, to Sunday, September 22, Linen and Housekeeping Issues Upon turning in for the night, we noticed obvious yellow stains on the sheets of my mom's bed. Further investigation revealed that neither of the beds had their linens changed from the previous guests. This was evident as we could clearly see signs that someone had been in the beds before us. I immediately called to report this issue and was assured that housekeeping would come to change the beds. However, after waiting for two hours, no one arrived. At around 8 PM, I had to go to the front desk to request clean bedding so I could change the sheets myself, as housekeeping never showed up. The next day, we called for housekeeping to bring more towels, take away the dirty linens, and provide other necessary supplies. Despite waiting all day, we had to call the front desk again to complain because the housekeepers left the floor without attending to our room. Misleading Room Amenities Your website states that rooms are equipped with fridges, but this was not the case in our room. This misinformation added to our inconvenience. Pet Facilities We paid a $50 pet fee, expecting adequate facilities for our pet. However, the only area provided for pets was a small 9x9 square of green across the street, which was shared by pets from two hotels. This area was not only disgusting but also dangerous, as it was amidst a region with homeless individuals and drug *******. It was very scary to have to take our pet out in such conditions. We strongly suggest providing a more suitable and safe area, such as a pee pad with fake grass in the garage. Air Conditioning Throughout our entire stay, the room temperature was around 75 degrees, as there was no functioning air conditioning. This made our stay even more uncomfortable. Overall Experience I brought my mom for a special treat, but we felt completely ignored and neglected by the hotel staff. The only positive aspect of our stay was the amazing experience at the Davenport Spa, which soothed our frustration with the hotel's treatment. Given the high standards we expected from The Historic Davenport Hotel, our experience was profoundly disappointing. We hope that you will take these issues seriously and implement necessary changes to ensure future guests do not face similar problems. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
