THE PRIVILEGE

When I came to Sri Lanka i was not really sure what to expect from an Ayurveda retreat. Today i am leaving Sri-lanka with such a great taste, a lot of gratitude and a good feeling for having taken the right decision. The Privilege offered me excellent Ayurveda treatments, the guidance of a great doctor, the kindness of a local sri-lankan team and the best (and healthy) food that i will eat in a long time. Located in front of the beach, it will allow you to enjoy great walks on the shore (the sea is brave so that you will not see people swimming), the swimming pool and the calmness of a great location (with the waves and the twitter from the birds). But above all i would highlight the diversity of the ayurveda treatments done, such as: Pathra and nawara kichi Herbal bath Shirodara Sarwangadara Vireka Vasthi Nasya I am posting some photos for you to get a feeling. I would like to thank Dr Dulanjalie for her guidance during this journey, Dilrukshi for her great massages, and the chef for cooking with so much care, plus the managers (man and wife). All you made my stay wonderful.

The Privilege Retreat is an Ayurvedic retreat in Wadduwa. It was the perfect spot for me but you should always research the options. 2 weeks of pampering with daily massages and other Ayurvedic treatments left me feeling cleansed and peaceful. It’s located on Wadduwa beach which was a great option for walking. Swimming wasn’t possible in August due to the currents. The staff are beautiful - attentive and focused on your journey. The Ayurvedic Dr and Therapist made my stay. The food was delicious and all Ayurvedic. The rooms were comfortable and all had views of the ocean and the garden. Perfect place for some self love.

This place is excellent if you want to get an ayurvedic treatment package. I stayed for 11 days and I enjoyed every moment of it. The massage was really great (the therapists highly skilled), the food very tasty and the service great. It is located right in front of the ocean which is so wonderful - not only because of the view, but also because the wind makes the temperature comfortable (not too hot and not too humid). The rooms are large and nicely decorated. I had a balcony with a perfect view and in the shadow - lovely. The garden is also a wonderful place to spend time - in the shadow on a sunbed or in the sun in the pool, which is large and well suited for some swimming. I will not hesitate to recommend this wonderful place.

The experience was just what we expected. A total bubble with total disconection from the outside. Real authentic and with a beautiful location. Food was authentic and everyone working at the resort so helpful.
