You get what you pay for, which is not much. Upon arriving, there is no sign that says 'Luyao Inn'. The sign is in Chinese characters. We were dragging our suitcases up and down the alley when the host finally came out. The room was on the second floor (4 flight of stairs) and there are no elevators. We had 4 suitcases and we did not receive help getting those up. The room was small, as indicated in the description. You get two bottles of water, toothbrushes and shower gel, shampoo and a small roll of toilet paper. None of those were replaced. We ran out of water and toilet paper and had to get our own. The host was barely around for us to ask. In any case, those are things that are usually replenished on a daily basis, without needing to ask. There is a kettle. No slippers. The shower and the toilet are in the same unit, therefore everything gets wet when you shower. You get shower slippers that have been used by others and do not look the best. The wall paper is also coming off the walls. The curtain was broken. The bedding had a weird sweat smell. The host was polite but does not speak English. You can communicate with them on wechat. The location is convenient, very close to the cableway station to Tianmen mountain. On our way out, there was someone else working, he helped us with our suitcases. To conclude, one can make do with the the space but do not go in with a lot of expectations (especially if you are used to Chinese hotels that give great service and hospitality).

Arrived here very late at night 10pm and was surprised to see that the owner has been waiting for us at the counter, despite the late night she was very nice and patient in explaining the room services even though we were only staying for one night for Tianmen the next morning. They allowed us to leave the luggage there while we were out for the day exploring, and welcomed us to rest in their lounge area if we needed to wait for our train. We are pleased with their friendliness and service. The inn is located in a good location in the middle of the many picturesque alley ways, look out for the word “指南针” because we walked past it the first time and was confused for awhile. Very close to the tianmen cable car station and nice eateries nearby! Hotel room is slightly small but clean and very comfortable, cozy. Super recommended :)

Decided to extend our stay at Shanjian Boutique Hostel after our flight got cancelled and thankfully there was a room for us! Owner was also very kind to lend us his phone to call our next hotel in Shanghai to inform them that we have change our travel plans. 第二次入住时，感觉就像回到了家，很舒服 🤭

I love this hotel. From location, service, amenities, cleanliness and comfort. However, if I have to nitpick, I can't appreciate the colour choice of the bathroom and one of the rooms I booked - it's too dark to my liking. The ventilator also didn't seem to work or too weak. Hotel provides free flow of coffee 24/7 but you need to place your order via Wechat or at the front desk and they will bring it to your room. While it is convenient for guests, I think it will be tiring for the staff. Perhaps can consider placing a self serve coffee machine somewhere. They also provide free laundry service which is awesome. The hotel is located on level 5 of an old building. The building lobby at level 1 and the elevators are pretty old and dirty. There is also a sex toy(?) shop and a snooker place there so the surrounding is not the best. Having said that, as long as the price remains competitive, I'd pick this hotel again if I ever visit Changsha again next time.

So we decided to cancel the hotel the next day and book this one instead. We calculated that the price for four people was better than if we booked it individually. When we stayed here, we suddenly felt what a hard life we ​​had the night before, why didn't we book this hotel earlier? I really shed tears. So remember to bring your own towel if u prefer something thicker. - Had a washing machine, but no dryer. Will be great if they can provide a clothing rack to air-dry clothes. - Projector instead of tv - there is no kitchen per-se, so no cooking allowed Do remember to add them on wechat ID: muguozishe first to find out the check in pin no and directions to the homestay building! They got a super clear video to get to the building from the subway station. :) -

This hotel looks like rundown from outside but actually they already renovated the rooms. Reception located behind the building and the staff, Yang Shi Mun is very helpful to make our stay enjoyable 🥰 The room is clean but the toilet is transparent, not really privacy for friends but for couples it's ok 😂 Location is right at the exit 1 Wuyi square metro and surrounding area is full of malls and night market. Really enjoyed staying in this hotel, will definitely stay again in this hotel.

He also gave us detailed instructions on what to pay attention to when visiting the Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, which was very helpful to us elderly people. This hotel is super comfy. New hotel, everything is brand new. The Staff also very friendly and helpful. Room is very clean and Aircon works very well. Close to Bus and train station, and also the cableway station to the TianMen Mountain. A lot of convenience store and also restaurant. There is one restaurant just a few minutes walk from the hotel. the food is fantastic. One of the best meal ever had in china. Sure comeback one day. Recommended

I couldn’t ask for a better place! A lovely family ran business with amazing location and smart, clean rooms. Upon arrival I was already greeted with tea and the owner with her son offering to plan my trip for me. As I am a solo traveller I spent a lot of time with the family who always invited me for tea and food. The owner was very accommodating from planning the trips to the mountains, to buying tickets, booking taxis and she would even offer to drop you off at the entrance to the park every morning. I would consider this place over any other hotel. It will definitely make you want to come back again!

Walkable distance to zjj west railway station. Eatery is available nearby and there's a provision shop/convenient store just downstairs. Booked here so to purchase railway ticket and to head over early morning to catch the train. Not near to tian and men (天安门), but convenient to Didi over about RMB 27 one-way when went over.

The company went to Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center to participate in the exhibition and chose a nearby hotel. This hotel is near the high-speed rail station, less than one kilometer away. A few hundred meters walk is the Duhua Road subway entrance. We took the subway 2 stops to the terminal station Guangda Station to the Convention and Exhibition Center, which is very convenient. We stayed here for several days in a row. Suggestion:- address in map is wrong position. I call DiDi but he took me to wrong hotel. I put Molan hotel (Wuyi Square IFS International Financial Center). I don’t know why. I took taxi again by staff at that hotel call for me. Then the hotel on Huangxing walking street car can’t get in so Taxi drop me off behind hotel. I walk through small road then I have found hotel. Surprisingly, lift was too old and dirty. But when the door opened wooooow! Totally different nice/clean/mordern and good service. The room also big enough , comfortable bed and pillows and toilet is hi technology. Actually lighting is controlled by voice(Chinese voice). There are lighting controllers too. I like this room because at 9 o’clock it still deep dark. The hotel located by walking street at starting venue which I FS building, it’s on a Middle venue. Very convenient to stay and shopping. Food are tons of shop there. I have found one near by in small road. Taste is very good and cheap. Recommend to stay this hotel when you visit Changsha.

Everything was regularly cleaned by the housekeepers. The roommates in my room really respected each others privacy. The hostel was close to the train station and there were many places that can be visited by walking distance.

This is my second stay. What I like most is their big shower head. The water volume is really large and it is comfortable to take a shower. The waiter does not need to knock on the door all the time (which will disturb and affect the guests' rest because the sound insulation is not good). For replenishing materials, just put them directly at the door.

The hotel has the best location in the city, in the very center on the river bank. There are wonderful views from the balcony. The room is huge, beautiful, with a Western toilet. The hostess is amazing! She met us on the bridge, escorted us to the hotel, and even helped us carry our luggage. She gave us a map of the city with the sights, told us everything and showed us on it. We communicated using a translator on the phone, we haven't troubles with this wonderful women in communication. this is so far the best budget hotel we have stay during this trip. the room is exactly as the photos and the bed was super soft and comfy. we contacted the owner and she had a car pick us at the train station. she also helped with getting the tickets and arrange car for the next day. the photos are from my room, thou would love to go a bit further into the town for a better view but its a 5* for the bed and the spacious room.

The hotel is located in an amazing location. It has the most beautiful private garden-like terrace.The owner/manager downstairs was very kind and helpful. They carried my luggage upstairs and upon leaving they offered to help me arrange a taxi, which I wish I had accepted. I stayed one night.

I was glad that I booked this place. They gave me complimentary pick up and drop off at the high speed rail station, which was very kind of them. Located just beside the Furongzhen entrance which is very good. I have to say, never never never never never stay inside Furongzhen. It was extremely inconvenient with the ups and downs. When it rains, it gets worst.as you have to walk ups and downs out of the place which is a disaster. A friend booked inside, she regretted. So, I'm happy that I got this inn, with a sitting toilet and not the squatting one.
