About

Alan Bersten grew up in Minnesota training as a Latin and ballroom dancer. He made a name for himself while competing on season 10 of So You Think You Can Dance in 2013 where he finished in the top 12. Bersten made his Dancing With the Stars debut as a troupe member during season 20.

Bersten became a DWTS pro for season 25, which premiered in 2017. He won his first mirrorball trophy with Bachelorette’s Hannah Brown during season 28 in 2019 and has continued to compete on the show ever since. He competed in season 33 of DWTS with Ilona Maher, and they won second place in the November 2024 finale.
