Aubrey Plaza
Aubrey Plaza was born in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1984 to parents Bernadette and David Plaza. After attending an all-girls Catholic high school, Aubrey studied film at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She went on become an NBC page and appeared briefly on 30 Rock before transitioning into comedy.
The actress starred in projects such as Funny People, Mystery Team and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World before being cast in her breakout role as April Ludgate in Parks and Recreation. Aubrey, who appeared in the NBC comedy series from 2009 to 2015, later pivoted to movies including Dirty Grandpa, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Ingrid Goes West, Child’s Play, Black Bear, Happiest Season and Emily the Criminal.
Aubrey has also booked TV projects such as Criminal Minds, Legion, Little Demon, The White Lotus and the upcoming Disney+ series Agatha: Coven of Chaos. In 2023, the comedian confirmed that she would be reprising her role as Julie in Netflix’s series Scott Pilgrim The Anime.
The Portlandia alum has been in a relationship with director Jeff Baena since 2011. After a decade of dating, Aubrey confirmed in 2021 that the couple exchanged vows.
