Carrie Ann Inaba
Carrie Ann Inaba is best known for her role as a judge on the hit reality competition show Dancing With the Stars.
A lifelong dancer, Inaba won a statewide dancing competition in Hawaii at 16 years old and relocated to Japan to become a “Teen Idol” after graduating high school. She eventually moved back to California to pursue her dream of becoming a dancer.
Inaba performed on the hit show In Living Color as one of the original Fly Girls and toured with Madonna and Ricky Martin. She choreographed several A-list events before nabbing a seat at the judges’ table on DWTS in 2005.
Inaba dated DWTS pro Artem Chigvintsev for two years, splitting in November 2008. Three years later, Jesse Sloan proposed to Inaba during an appearance on Live! With Regis and Kelly, but the pair called off their engagement in September 2012. The dancer became engaged to actor Robb Derringer in December 2016, splitting in September of the following year. She revealed in May 2021 that she broke up with boyfriend Fabien Viteri after less than one year of dating.
From 2019 to 2021, Inaba cohosted the CBS daytime series The Talk, choosing to take a leave of absence from the show due to her health. (She battles multiple autoimmune conditions, including lupus, Sjogrën’s syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and vasculitis.)
