Christian Bale
Christian Bale rose to fame after landing his breakthrough role in Steven Spielberg’s 1987 film, Empire of the Sun. He starred in the movie musical Newsies in 1992, played Laurie in the 1994 adaptation of Little Women and voiced Thomas in the 1995 Disney animated movie Pocahontas. Bale earned further recognition for his performance as Patrick Bateman in American Psycho (2000) and as the title character in The Machinist (2004).
Bale landed the role of Bryce Wayne in the Batman trilogy (one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time) comprised of Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012). Bale went on to star in The Prestige (2006), The Fighter (2010) — which earned him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor — American Hustle (2013), The Big Short (2015), Ford v Ferrari (2019) and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).
Bale married Sibi Blažić in 2000. They welcomed daughter Emmeline in March 2005 and son Joseph in 2014.
