Kathy Ireland

Kathy Ireland was born in Glendale, Calif. in 1963 and has maintained a successful career as a model, actress, author, and entrepreneur.

At age 16, the young California girl was discovered by an agent for Elite Model Management. Her modeling career has llanded her covers for Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, amongst others.

In 1993, Ireland began her own clothing line including swimwear, accessories, and more at Kmart. She also operates luxury destinations for exotic weddings and special occasions, as well as designs wedding gowns.

The multi-talented entrepreneur has also written a total of six books, including three children’s books.

Her acting career was never as successful as her business ventures, but in the 1990s Ireland made appearances in TV shows like Melrose Place and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. She also appeared in the ninth season of Dancing With the Stars.

The model married physician Greg Olsen in 1988 and they have three children: Erik, Lily, and Chloe.
