Laura Dern
Laura Dern, the daughter of actors Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern, made her film debut in her mother’s film White Lightning (1973). She acted alongside Ladd in the 1991 film Rambling Rose, becoming the first mother-daughter pair to be nominated for an Oscar for the same movie. Dern rose to prominence for her roles in Blue Velvet (1986), Afterburn (1992), the Jurassic Park franchise (1993, 2001 and 2022) and Wild (2014). She held supporting roles in Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017), Little Women (2019) and Marriage Story (2019). Dern starred alongside Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shailene Woodley and Zoë Kravitz in Big Little Lies, playing the role of Renata Klein.
Dern previously dated Jurassic Park costar Jeff Goldblum from 1985 to 1989 and Billy Bob Thornton from 1997 to 1999 before he married Angelina Jolie. Dern started dating musician Ben Harper in 2000, tying the knot in 2005. They welcomed children Ellery and Jaya in 2001 and 2004, respectively. Harper filed for divorce in 2010, and the terms were finalized three years later.
