Priscilla Presley
Priscilla Presley (née Wagner) was born in Brooklyn in 1945. She frequently moved around as a child due to her stepfather’s career in the Air Force and met future husband Elvis Presley while living in Germany in 1959. (The “Jailhouse Rock” singer was stationed overseas during his time in the army.)
The pair tied the knot in 1967, welcoming their only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, one year later. Despite the couple’s divorce in 1973, Priscilla has made sure her late ex-husband’s legacy has lived on after his death in 1977. She co-founded Elvis Presley Enterprises, which turned the rock n’ roll legend’s Graceland home in Memphis into a museum, where more than half a million fans visit each year. In 2022, she gave her blessing to Baz Luhrmann‘s Elvis biopic starring Austin Butler as the late legend.
Priscilla welcomed her second child, son Navarone, in 1987 while in a long-term relationship with Marco Garibaldi. (The two later called it quits in March 2006.) Two years after welcoming her son, the Dallas alum became a grandmother when Lisa Marie gave birth to her first child, daughter Riley, in 1989. Lisa Marie went on to welcome son Benjamin three years later. (The late “Lights Out” singer shared her two eldest kids with ex-husband Danny Keough.) In 2008, Lisa Marie welcomed twins Harper and Finley with ex-husband Michael Lockwood. Priscilla announced her daughter’s death in January 2023.
