Russell Brand
Russell Brand established himself as a stand-up comedian before hosting Big Brother’s Big Mouth in 2004 and landing roles in St Trinian’s (2007), Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) and Rock of Ages (2012). He hosted his own radio show, The Russell Brand Show, from 2006 to 2017 and launched the podcasts “Stay Free with Russell Brand” and “Under the Skin with Russell Brand.”
Brand married Katy Perry in 2010 and filed for divorce in 2011, reportedly informing Perry of his decision in a text message. Their divorce was finalized in 2012. He briefly moved on with Spice Girls singer Geri Halliwell in 2012 and dated Jemima Goldsmith from 2013 to 2014. Brand welcomed a daughter named Mabel in 2016 with Laura Gallacher. They tied the knot in 2017 before welcoming daughter Peggy in 2018 and a son in 2023.
In 2023, The Times published an article featuring four women who alleged they were sexually assaulted by Brand in the past, which he denied. BBC and Channel 4 subsequently removed some content featuring Brand on their platforms and YouTube suspended Brand’s ability to monetize content on his channel. The London Metropolitan Police and the Thames Valley Police later pursued an investigation of a 2003 report after the allegations made headlines.
