1000-Lb. Sisters

1000-Lb. Sisters is a TLC reality series that follows Kentucky siblings Amy and Tammy Slaton as they navigate challenging weight-loss journeys. Premiering in January 2020, the show highlights their struggles with health, relationships and lifestyle changes, all while facing the pressures of public scrutiny. Amy’s desire to start a family and Tammy’s battle with mobility serve as key motivations in their pursuit of bariatric surgery. Amy underwent surgery in season 2 (2021), while Tammy’s surgery occurred in season 4 (2023). The sixth season premiered in October 2024.

The show also features family members, including their brother Chris, who joined their weight loss journey, and sisters Amanda and Misty, who provide emotional support.
