Game 25, Mariners at Orioles

King Felix v some guy who isn’t King Felix. A phenom against a former top prospect turned guy who spent years being thrown out of organization after organization.

1:35, FSN.

Do we get to see Bloomquist this fine afternoon? Signs point to yes.

    Adrian Beltre

    First 13 games:

    .109 .212. .109

    Last 12 games (through yesterday):

    .300 .391 .400

I think we would all be happy to live with that kind of production from him, given the last year.

Can he sustain it? I dunno… but he has certainly been a different player in the second half of this early start.

The encouraging thing is he has looked much less lost at the plate. Even his outs look better, several deep fly outs, some line drive outs.

He’s kept his walks about the same, but cut his strikeouts nearly in half.
