Every weekend release feels like a new opportunity to make the most insane double feature possible. A Quiet Horizon? Horizon: Day One? Dare we pitch a triple feature, Frankenstein’s Monster: Inside A Quiet Horizon? Stop trying to make fetch happen; it’s never going to happen! Inside Out 2 continues to ride an emotion-filled high, earning an estimated $55-59 million this weekend, continuing its reign as no. 1 at the box off for the third week in a row. As for the newcomers, the Michael Sarnoski horror prequel A Quiet Place: Day One and Kevin Costner’s latest endeavor into the West Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 are steadily holding their places at second ($53 million) and third ($12 million) for their respective opening weekends. While neither could catch up to Inside Out 2, it makes sense since both had a small audience to see their movies, as they were rated PG-13 and R against Pixar’s PG rating. However, things could change during the upcoming holiday weekend, but honestly, it just might be another week of strong emotions.
